Rejuvenating

5 of 5
Our stay at Bare Dreams was so much more than we had expected. Once you arrive you're met with breathtaking views and a welcoming reception by the innkeeper Saadia. She described the accommodations and said her home is now our home for us to enjoy to the fullest, which is exactly what we did! Saadia was the perfect host and made us feel welcome and at home throughout our stay. I loved the topless terrace where I practiced yoga daily and sunbathed under the warm December sun, while my husband loved the hammock where he could relax and experience the cooling trade winds and an afternoon nap. There's plenty to do if you're interested in sightseeing, hiking in the rain forest, kayaking, walking along the beach and tasting the Puerto Rican food. My husband and I definitely recommend staying here if you're interested in experiencing the Caribbean at it's best. Don't miss a chance to rejuvenate and as a wonderful bonus get to know a beautiful, intelligent, humorous and a fabulous cook, the Bare Dreams owner, Saadia.

This house is so great I don't want to write a review and give away the secret.

But, since we can't stay here all year, it's only fair to let others know how perfect this house is. There were four of us, my wife and I in our early 50s and my son and daughter in their early 20s, and all of us felt the same way and can't wait to come back next year. The views from the two decks, from the pool, and from every room (even the master bathroom) are just breathtaking. The location is perfect, it's a 5-minute drive to, for example, Luquillo Beach which is really nice, the Luquillo kiosks, the supermarket, restaurants, La Familia Bakery, and the Rio Mar resort where non-guests can play tennis and golf. My son and I played tennis on nicely maintained HarTru courts, and golf on the Ocean course which was beautiful and challenging, with Iguanas and beautiful waterfowl all over the place. The kids went ziplining (10 minutes away), we went to the El Yunque visitor center and walked a short trail through the rainforest (also 10 minutes away) and one day we all went on a catamaran/snorkeling trip from Fajardo (20 minutes away). The house has all amenities, there are always breezes so it's never necessary to turn on the AC, and really there is nothing else to say other than it's perfect, it made for a perfect family vacation, and we hated to leave.
