Ricky and Maite are exceptional. Very responsive before we arrived and during our stay. Maite met us at the Isla Grande airport, drove us to the rental car place, then guided us to the condo. I texted her a couple of times during our stay and heard back immediately.
The location is excellent, although a 45 minute drive from San Juan. We enjoyed the area and spent parts of two days in the rain forest (we learned to time it in the morning, before the afternoon rains). Parking is right in front of condo and you have an electronic opener for the gate in the community. The lovely pool is right below the condo (which is on the second floor). The whole area is very quiet, very few people stay there during the week. The beach is an easy walk, a couple of blocks, through the condo areas. There is plenty of beach equipment at the place.
The kitchen is well equipped--not sumptuous, but adequate. We wished for a blender, but not a problem. Everything in the kitchen works well. There is no dishwasher.
I suggested a few things to them that Maite said they would address: there are three windows that don't operate (the cranks are broken), one of them in the bedroom is important, if you want to run the AC, or if you want to shut out any noise from the parking area. There is no reading lamp anywhere in the living room and the overhead light isn't adequate to read by. The pillows in the bedrooms are very poor (but the beds are good!). The condo was clean and pleasantly decorated, rather plain. We didn't use the second bedroom, which has two sets of bunk beds.
The deck off the kitchen is lovely for meals, drinks, or coffee in the morning. It is never in the sun, which is probably a good thing! TV and wifi work very well.
We were very pleased with the value for money, with just the few annoyances above. There is a book in the condo, but the information about the area isn't very helpful. I think a few more recommendations on places to eat would be welcomed.
