So glad we found this place!

5 of 5
This condo had everything we could have asked for. I was attending a conference at the Rio Mar resort, which you can see from the condo balcony. By renting this condo, I saved hundreds of dollars over the cost of staying at the resort. In addition, we were very comfortable, secure, had a full kitchen, washer-dryer, privacy, independence...what more could you ask? There was even a supply of beverages (i.e. rum, wine, etc.) in the cupboard and the fridge! Customer service was great. The rental agent, Juan Carlos, was extremely flexible and went WAY out of his way to accommodate our schedule, even arranging to get the keys to us at the ferry terminal in Fajardo after our stay on Culebra, and driving into Old San Juan to pick up the keys when our visit was over. It's a little hard to find locations in Puerto Rico, but the directions to the condo were clear and easy to follow. The only inconvenience for my husband was that he had to chauffeur me back and forth to the Rio Mar resort. It is not really in practical walking distance, since there are no sidewalks, and the hill is quite steep; however, it's only a 5-minute drive. I would definitely recommend this property and would certainly stay there again, if I'm ever lucky enough to return! Thanks so much to Mark and Juan Carlos for making this experience available.

Amazing Views, Private and Huge Penthouse

5 of 5
The Founders Residence is extremely private and is a luxury resort. There was a large group of us, and I must say that the newly constructed building is solidly built. It felt like we had the entire building to ourselves. The floor plan is very large accommodating for large groups. There are rollaways available for use if needed. The views are amazing - beaches, rain forest, golf course. Top of the line furnishing and finishes. Owner is fabulous to work with. Enjoyed the beach, pool, club house, Old San Juan, rain forest and a nearby restaurant named Richies. I would highly recommend staying here, especially for families or larger groups.

Bahia Beach heaven

4 of 5
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious rental in Bahia Beach! We traveled down to PR with our 2 kids, ages 10 and 7, and we felt as if we found the most amazing place to be, especially since the St. Regis hotel was sold out. We had access to just about everything at the St. Regis, as well as plenty of room to spread out and prepare our own meals. The condo was beautifully decorated and very well-kept, and we were greeted warmly as we arrived late in the evening. We arranged for the recommended private chef to have dinner delivered for us, and food arrived as we walked in, so timing couldn't have been better. Having access to a golf cart to shuttle us around the property was amazing, and made life so much easier. The kids practically moved into the "Iguana Club" kids club, hosted by the St. Regis, which provided them hours of fun, swimming, arts and crafts, exploration outings, and pj movie nights. Most importantly, since there were not any other kids staying at the Bahia Beach resort, this provided our kids the opportunity to meet and hang with other kids their age. I would say the only downside was the fact that our kids did not have other children to interact with had the not been at the Iguana Club. Also, the Bahia Beach resort pool is quite small, and was not so clean in the mornings when we took the kids down to swim. Cleanings were done in the afternoons, apparently. The beachfront was beautiful! We spent quite a bit of time down there as a family swimming, and, generally, exploring for shells, coconuts, and sea turtles. One other favorite spot was the boathouse....and I feel as if we didn't spend nearly enough time there going fishing, boating, etc. In particular, the staff at the boathouse is quite educated on the St. Regis/Bahia Beach grounds, as well as the island as a whole, so they have a lot of knowledge to offer! The one activity we did "off the compound" was a kayak tour of the Bioluminescent bay, which was amazing! I went with my 10 year old daughter, and had a blast. All told, I give this wonderful place a four out of five stars. Why not five stars? Having access to ALL of the St. Regis amenities would have been the most perfect trip...with the most perfect score of five.
