Little Spot of Heaven in Rincon

5 of 5
Casa Bomberos is a delight. We were a group of 2 families, with 4 adults and 5 kids. The pool kept the kids happy and the bar next to the pool kept us happy. The kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of pots and pans - even large pots for pasta or maybe rooster stew for 9 hungry people! The proximity to the great stuff in Rincon was awesome - great food and great surfing and great beaches to just hang out. Puerto Rico is awesome and Rincon and Casa Bomberos is a "must" for your bucket list! Thanks so much for the memories!

Very nice place to stay!

4 of 5
This is a great place for a winter getaway. It is close to the beach, comfortable and Carlo is very helpful. The pool is great - nice size and well-maintained. And there is an outdoor grill and bathroom; you could spend almost all your time outdoors! There is no tv, which is actually a big plus for us -- did not have to pry the kids off it. One thing that we did miss is a blender. There is so much nice fruit here, a blender would be great. If you come here, try to get to know the various beaches in the area. They are all very different from each other. Briefly: the beach near this house has fairly small waves and is great for families. There are never many people on it. The beach in town has more restaurants and equipment rental facilities ( we parasailed, which was great). The beaches north of town (and there are many) are almost completely devoted to surfing in the winter. I would not advise swimming there or hanging out; if you try to swim there you will be in the surfers way.

Winter Break

5 of 5
We just got home and it's snowing outside. I miss Rincon already. I especially miss the house. It was perfect and every night wether we ate in or out we walked right down the block for a drink/pool at Joe's. Each morning was spent lazily starting our day with coffee around poolside. I read some reviews before we came and heard about it being noisy. Well there was some noise during the day, radios blasting from cars but I found it added to the local flavor. I wouldn't want it to change. This is a highly recommended place if you want to live simply within your own touch of paradise.
