Perfect Vacation

5 of 5
Our vacation in Puerto Rico could not have been better, due in no small part to our spacious beach-front villa. We were three generations under one roof for 10 days with plenty of room. The location is ideal, close enough to town, but secluded enough for some serious rest and relaxation away from the crowds. The villa was as advertised with all the ammenities. We had one tiny problem (leaky sprinkler), which was addressed immediately by the owner. Highly recommend you stay here, but not too long because I am coming back!

Loved every minute!

5 of 5
Family vacation with my two “twenty young” kids. Comfortable accommodations, beautiful, fully equipped eat in kitchen. Awesome nicely AC cooled rooms. Great shower pressure. Cable TV, wifi (in case you also have to check email), beach chairs, and beach toys! Early AM, took a short trip to the local bakery, purchased watering freshly baked bread (pan de agua), brewed a cup of local coffee, then sat on the gazebo...just watch the water & sky and listen to the waves, birds and ocean... Great swimming beach...right there! Go in the water, float on one of the noodles, and just feel the warm water sooth your body and refresh your spirit. Took 1 hour walks every day along the sandy shore. At 5 PM drive to the pescaderia... the local catch? we ran into the most delicious black fin tuna (son and daughter did the cooking) and lobster --Wow!!! Of course, we also enjoyed local cuisine at a few of the many dinning choices also within minutes. Location is convenient to several grocery stores and bakeries. 5 minutes to center of town which is quite endearing. Lots of other beaches within minutes each with particular fun activities... Went scuba and snorkeling (Taino Divers) -- saw 3 turtles, squid, manta ray, lobster, lots of colorful coral and marine life... Rented paddle board, son tried his luck at one of several Rincon's famous surfing beaches. Required lots of sun tan lotion. 6PM...What a wonderful sunset!!! Same gazebo where in the AM had coffee... now sipping a glass of Merlot, was treated to spectacular scenery. We also participated in a couple of inland adventures. Visited Gozalandia (about 1 hr drive) (you tube it) in San Sebastian ( a wonderful natural setting with waterfalls and swimming pool, lots of launching pads for dives into the “not so warm” mountain water. Well worth it! Also went ziplining at Toro Verde (you tube it Toro Verde – La Bestia) (1.5 hr drive) a) georgeous setting, b) thrilling, c) well run, d) so much fun! . Great place, great vacation. Cannot wait to do it again.

Superb vacation experience due to owner's attention to details & beautiful beach location

5 of 5
What is very important to note is that this penthouse is rented by the owner (personally) who resides there for several months in the winter. This is not an agency cookie cutter dark hole rental which is common in beach towns. The owner is very detailed and amazingly helpful with everything. I think he sleeps with his phone near him and is very attentive with email or phone during the stay. He provides a "luxurious" service experience with his beautiful beach condo which made our trip. Of note - the pictures are dead on accurate - no deferred maintenance of anything when you arrive. It's a beautiful place just like it appears and probably the nicest condo complex in Rincon. We chose Rincon, Puerto Rico and this lovely penthouse for our 20th wedding anniversary trip. Due to the holidays & school being out we took our 3 daughters - 17,13,11. This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and will not be our last. A few weeks ahead of our trip the owner spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me describing in detail various day trip places, all the beach locations, fun things to see and do, great places to eat and generally all the highlights up and down the west coast of PR. We wanted to see as much of the western coast of PR as we could so we took several day trips to the various sites per his recommendations which were spot on. His list of fun stuff and great eats are accurate - we had no mediocre experiences via his suggestions. The penthouse location is as close to the water as you could build a structure safely. From the elevator exit its about 50 steps to the sand. Each morning we had our coffee & breakfast out on the huge wrap around balcony which has seating for about 12-15. Our family of 5 had plenty of room in the condo. The grounds are immaculate and the pool is as pictured. The beach is almost private because of its location. Rincon's public beach area is a couple miles north so nearly everyone enjoying this stretch of beach is from the complex. We snorkeled right of the beach to the left and had great visibility our first day. The trip highlight (amongst many) was probably snorkeling Tres Palmas Marine Preserve off Steps Beach (1-2 miles north of the complex). It's a coral reef right off the beach that is protected. Our 3 daughters found 2 seperate sea turtles in the reef hanging out. They swam with the turtles for 15 minutes. Among 20 years of 1-3 vacations per year this is in the top few experiences. Enjoy!
