Amazing and rustic getaway with private beach!

5 of 5
My wife and I had an amazing time staying at the Love Shack! It’s just up the hill from the owner’s property and beach so we felt safe while still having privacy. It feels like you are in a jungle tree house. The best part is the beach - there are rock formations on both sides, so you literally have your own private 200-yard beach! There is a hiking path from Domes nearby so occasionally people would find their way over but we literally saw no more than 5 people on "our beach" the entire week we were there! And there were definitely some waves to surf right in front of the house, which has a rocky coral bottom covered with a thin layer of sand. Dennis even let me borrow an 8'2" longboard he had shaped himself! The only thing I would say is to know what to expect. The Love Shack is a little on the rustic side, but it has everything you need. We enjoyed drinking coffee every morning on the balcony and listening to the roosters crowing and sheep baaaaing. If you are looking for luxury accommodations, look elsewhere. This place is more for an adventurous couple who is looking for a laid back and secluded vacation away from it all. It was definitely the most unique accommodations that we saw in Rincon. The walk down the driveway to the beach is STEEP, so be prepared for a nice workout each time you go up or down. The owners were incredibly friendly and very helpful with tips on things to do and what to see. We will be back again! Thanks Dennis and Carol for a great vacation!

Very relaxing

4 of 5
We stayed in cottage number 3 which looks out onto the decking over the bay at the rear, so we enjoyed a beautiful view and refreshing breezes - we loved our little cottage. It's easy to get publicos to Flamenco Beach and Melones Beach is great for snorkelling. No wifi unless you walk or drive to public library, but this is a destination to chill out and get away from it all! The cottage is walkable from the ferry and shops - about 15mins walk - if needed. (A smaller shop with limited supplies is just 5mins away)

Splendor on the Summit

5 of 5
Quite simply... there is not enough space to write all of the wonderful things about this home. The location has to be one of the most perfect on the island - close to the beaches, the W spa, great restaurants (Tin Box, Noche, Noche, and El Quenepo to name a few). Plus it is so close to Esperanza, which is where a lot of the action is during the day and at night. The house itself feels like a home... one of those homes that you dream of with glorious, orangey-pink sunrises every morning that make your eyes water that something so beautiful exists. It has virtually every amenity that you need. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom has excellent water pressure. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The hammock sways in the gentle breezes. With the windows and doors on the huge porch open - the house benefits from an instant cross breeze. It's cool in the daytime even in the Vieques heat. The same breezes push away the mosquitos, which most other houses have problems with. There are plenty of beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel equipment.... everything you need for a beach vacation. Last, but not least... the owners of the house are fantastic, kind and warm. They see to it that everything was taken care of for us, including a pick up at the airport. They were always quick to respond via phone or text if we needed anything at all. Bottom line, this is a wonderful place to stay on Vieques. Having stayed at the Hix Island Hotel last year, I rate Casa Panorama above and beyond that. My husband and I will stay here again when we visit Vieques next. Safe travels!
