Bahia Beach heaven

4 of 5
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious rental in Bahia Beach! We traveled down to PR with our 2 kids, ages 10 and 7, and we felt as if we found the most amazing place to be, especially since the St. Regis hotel was sold out. We had access to just about everything at the St. Regis, as well as plenty of room to spread out and prepare our own meals. The condo was beautifully decorated and very well-kept, and we were greeted warmly as we arrived late in the evening. We arranged for the recommended private chef to have dinner delivered for us, and food arrived as we walked in, so timing couldn't have been better. Having access to a golf cart to shuttle us around the property was amazing, and made life so much easier. The kids practically moved into the "Iguana Club" kids club, hosted by the St. Regis, which provided them hours of fun, swimming, arts and crafts, exploration outings, and pj movie nights. Most importantly, since there were not any other kids staying at the Bahia Beach resort, this provided our kids the opportunity to meet and hang with other kids their age. I would say the only downside was the fact that our kids did not have other children to interact with had the not been at the Iguana Club. Also, the Bahia Beach resort pool is quite small, and was not so clean in the mornings when we took the kids down to swim. Cleanings were done in the afternoons, apparently. The beachfront was beautiful! We spent quite a bit of time down there as a family swimming, and, generally, exploring for shells, coconuts, and sea turtles. One other favorite spot was the boathouse....and I feel as if we didn't spend nearly enough time there going fishing, boating, etc. In particular, the staff at the boathouse is quite educated on the St. Regis/Bahia Beach grounds, as well as the island as a whole, so they have a lot of knowledge to offer! The one activity we did "off the compound" was a kayak tour of the Bioluminescent bay, which was amazing! I went with my 10 year old daughter, and had a blast. All told, I give this wonderful place a four out of five stars. Why not five stars? Having access to ALL of the St. Regis amenities would have been the most perfect trip...with the most perfect score of five.

Perfect vacation!

We stayed for 10 days with our 3 children (10,9 and 5). It was our first visit to Rincon and so glad we picked this villa! The villa had everything we needed, including beach chairs and toys for the kids. John was great to work with and quickly answered the few questions we had during our stay. It is a beautiful, clean, safe complex with a great pool. The beach was perfect for the everyone, the tide pool and seas glass beach were great for our youngest and the surf break with beach entry was ideal for our sons to practice their surfing-even during the holiday weekend they were able to surf without a crowd. i think you definitely need a car to get around Rincon (the local restaurants are fantastic), but you have the option to walk down the beach 15 minutes to the restaurants and yoga on Sandy Beach. We already miss it and will be back! Thanks John!
