Maritza Saved My Vacation

5 of 5
I booked the place directly above Maritza's weeks in advance and after traveling all the way from California, arrived to find it visibly dirty. Within a few minutes, my frustrated wife and I decided that we couldn't stay there with our 15-month-old daughter, but had no idea where we'd find another vacation rental for 5 days on such short notice. Luckily, we ran into Maritza who was there cleaning up her place and we were able to book with her instead, on the spot. Unlike the rental upstairs, Maritza's place was CLEAN, comfortably furnished, with WiFi , a washer & dryer on-site, and a brand new ice maker (I helped her take it out of the box myself). Since we booked during the low season, we had the entire place to ourselves with safe, gated parking. The Padillas were the nicest hosts and took care of us whenever we had questions about the property and the local area. They helped turn our stay in Luquillo from a potential disaster to an unforgettably good time. The pictures don't lie: the beach really is your backyard (just outside the rear fence). The rental is conveniently located near the Wyndham resort and the kioskos (lots of cafe, bar, and restaurant options close by). My family and I enjoyed El Verde BBQ and Don Pepe's in nearby Rio Grande, too. But the best part of renting the property in Luquillo was falling asleep on the balcony listening to the waves in the comfort of the rocking chairs. Don't miss this place!

BEST STAY EVER!

5 of 5
I cannot begin to tell you how Wonderful, Beautiful and economical this condo was. Alvy the owner, is a doll. She was very accommodating, friendly and informative. The beachfront condo (17th floor) was clean, comfortable, safe and it gave us a feeling of being home. The condo has an spectacular view of the beach. From the balcony in the morning you can experience a beautiful sunrise. The condo is kid friendly. It has an adult and a kid's pool, my 7 year old totally loved it. It has Wi-Fi and everything you need to feel comfortable and relax. I would not think twice about renting here again. In fact, It's the only place I would stay from now on! Thanks Alvy for making our stay a memorable one! I would not rent in any hotel in the area again, For my money this is the Spot!

A beautiful apartment with an unrivalled sea view.

4 of 5
The apartment is clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. More important, it is very secure, the latter an important consideration as the neighbourhood is a little run down and looks seedy. We loved the sea views and enjoy watching surfers braving the cold waters while eating breakfast at the dining table. But we do have to major complaints which I think other guests need to know. First on the list is the mattress. It is worn down and dips into two soft depressions when my husband and I slept on it. It offers no support to the body and for those with back problems, this is really bad news. My husband is such a patient. After one restless night, He could hardly stand up straight the next morning and had to wear his corset for support during the rest of the trip and also slept on the floor rather than on the bed. The second problem was the air conditioning which makes a racket when turned on. It was impossible to sleep with it is running in the bedroom because of the noise. We resolved the problem by running the living room unit and leaving the bedroom door open so that the air circulates through to the bedroom. Not the most ideal solution but it was otherwise impossible to sleep without air conditioning. Even though we had to live with the above problems, we still enjoyed our stay.
