We had a really nice stay!

5 of 5
We stayed at Cacimar House in Vieques and had a lovely time. The house is really well layed out - nice and open concept share areas, generously sized bedrooms, great bathrooms. The kitchen is open, large and well appointed and lends itself well to cooking and serving drinks - there is even a beautiful gas bbq. The pool area is clean and well maintained and the grounds are mainured and have a wide assortment of local plants. We could not have been more comfortable. The location is great with respect to getting to the various beautiful beaches and into town for dinner or shopping. There are a couple of places to get groceries and some great restaurants and bars close by. Be sure to go down to the pier and get fresh lobster on Fridays! We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return!

Amazing Villa Fortuna...Loved Our Vacation!

5 of 5
My husband and I and our two young children (ages 4 and 16 months) had such an amazing time at Villa Fortuna. The villa alone is simply wonderful...we were excited to return each day to our home base because it is such a peaceful, comfortable, and beautiful place to relax. The view from the terrace is stunning and such a pleasure to wake up to each morning. The villa is beautifully decorated with great furnishings and paintings on the walls that we loved. The villa has everything you need for your stay. Elliott (one of the owners) is very helpful and easy to communicate with, and Lydia is very helpful when you arrive. She sets you up in the villa and answers any questions you may have. There was also a lovely bottle of chilled wine waiting for us on the terrace when we arrived, such a nice touch! One of the great things about Villa Fortuna is that it overlooks a really beautiful pool. It is open to everyone in the villa complex, but it often felt like it was our very own private pool! The kids loved it so much and it was perfect for us since it was literally right outside our door. There is even a children's pool connected to the main pool. You can't ask for much more! In addition to all of this, we also had the use of the Wyndham Hotel's facilities and pools, beach, spa, and restaurants there. The main hotel pool is great for kids with a water slide and another kiddie pool. We ate a couple of meals at the hotel which was a nice option to have if we felt like staying local, but we mostly ate our dinners outside of the Wyndham at other restaurants in Rio Grande and Loquillo. We ate most of our breakfasts at the villa looking out at the gorgeous views. My husband and I kept saying how much we loved just being in the villa, and how the kids loved being there, too. My 4 year old son just told me when I tucked him into bed that he missed "our vacation house" and "our pool"! I miss it, too! Wish we were still there. I could go on and on...I can't say enough good things about Villa Fortuna. We would love to return for another memorable stay.

Just as described!

5 of 5
We had a great time visiting PR and the condo was beautiful and had everything you could need. The view was great, and the weather was very cooperative! It was so worth having A/C in the main room as well as in each bedroom; the mornings tended to be humid and we kept the apartment very comfortable. We felt very safe and secure in the building and at the pool. Everything went just as Willie instructed and we had no issues. I'd recommend taking a drive or hike to El Yunque Rainforest and taking a tour of Old San Juan with a guide. We used Eliot Tours and Eliot was wonderful. La Estacion was our favorite restaurant, although everywhere we ate was very good. We also took a drive to Ponce over local road 3 which was really interesting - very winding roads but beautiful views of the mountains, valleys, coastlines as you go in and out of each town. It took about 4 hours to get to Ponce but only 1.5 hours to return on the highway. The condo location made it easy to go in either direction to explore.
