Our family of five (two daughters, ages 21 & 14, and one son, age 17) had the most incredible stay at La Casa de Buena Fortuna. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the bright colors, whimsical largely ocean-themed decorations, and delectable tropical fruit basket, we felt welcome and right at home. The villa is stocked with everything one might need, from kitchen appliances to DVD's for a rainy afternoon to a boatload of beach towels. The area is quiet and feels very safe. Jennifer was always available by text/cell phone if we had a question (on the way there, we spoke with her to make sure we were going in the right direction. I would recommend arriving in daylight, as signage and lighting on the roads is minimal and GPS can be unreliable in the area). There are many great places to eat within a short drive. We especially enjoyed the fish tacos at Kabana's (a trailer with attached tent-covered seating area across from Tamboo) and the ceviche at La Cambija. For more upscale dining, we had the most fabulous evening savoring delicious food and watching the sun set over the ocean from our beachside table at The Eclipse restaurant, part of Las Montanas Resort in Isabela, about a 40-minute drive east of Rincon. Call the resort ahead of time to get verbal directions, as, again, it can be confusing getting there with GPS alone. Our son took two surfing lessons from the guys at The Rincon Surf School, who were all terrific. Our daughters enjoyed snorkeling at Steps Beach, about a ten-minute drive from the villa. After our activity-filled days, it was great to be able to come back to such a beautiful home, listen to the multitude of coqui frogs chirping outdoors, and settle into comfortable beds for a good night's rest. I would highly recommend La Casa de Buena Fortuna to anyone, couples or families, looking for a place to stay on the western coast of Puerto Rico- we certainly felt we came into Good Fortune discovering it, and look forward to returning soon! Thanks, Jennifer!!
