I can't say enough wonderful things about this condo rental - named SOL. Isabel, the owner, made my first vacation rental so easy (it was so easy it made me nervous). She was out of town during our stay and her best friend Anna took great care of us. She met us at the condo and showed us around, and when the internet went out on our 2nd day due to a storm, she was at our door within the hour to fix it. The place is equipped with basically everything - and we used it all. The 24 hour grocery store is just a short 10 minute walk away and we loaded up on food for the week and took advantage of the kitchen - even blended our own pina colada's every day to enjoy at the shared rooftop pool. Both bedrooms have a flat screen tv with cable and a built in DVD player, along with plenty of shelving for clothes. There are also 2 bathrooms with walk in stone showers. The kitchen has plenty of utensils, large fridge/freezer, pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, microwave, toaster, and confection oven. The living room was surprisingly cozy with a comfy sectional and a wall mounted flat screen tv which then runs into the dining area and private outdoor balcony with 2 chaise lounge chairs. The AC worked great, and we used the shared washer/dryer out in the hallway at the end of our trip so that we didn't have to pack dirty clothes. The rooftop with pool was our absolute favorite part. Beautiful view of the ocean, sun chairs, place to grill, unheated pool, outside dining table and chairs, and a built in bench seating area. Even though the unit is shared with the other unit below, we had the rooftop to ourselves until the last day. LOCATION - 10 steps from Ocean Park Beach (popular kite surfing beach and the condo has boogie boards/beach toys, and beach towels for use), a 5 minute walk to Mango's (hip bar/restaurant), local cafe's/eateries, 24 hour Walgreens, beautiful outdoor park, 10 minute walk to the SuperMax (24 hour grocery), 15 minute walk to the popular Condado strip with many bars, restaurants and all the hotels and casinos, and a short 15 minute/$18 cab ride to Old San Juan. There is a parking space available as well if you decide to rent a car which we did not do. Everything was walking distance besides Old San Juan which is a disaster to try to navigate driving through. Can't wait to return to Puerto Rico and when I do, I will be staying here for sure!
