Exactly what we were looking for

5 of 5
The house is as pictured - territorIal view of the mangrove islands of La Parguerra. It is situated on the hill to the west of the fishing village. A manageable walk to the grocery store and boat docks. The house features a nice sized swimming pool with a cabana. The cabana was equipped with a barbeque, sink, and counter. There were plenty of comfortable chairs and lounges around the pool for our party of 10, As well as a table for 4 -6 people. The perfect place to unwind and relax after touring Ponce or spending the day snorkeling, picnicking, and floating in the Caribean. The main floor of the house had a big covered porch the full width of the house. The porch overlooked La Pargerrra. The porch was furnished with comfortable wrought iron furniture including a perfect card table and wooden rocking chair where we spent the evening drinking wine and playing dominoes, chatting about our adventures, or reading. The kitchen was well equipped and huge. We prepared and ate breakfasts and dinners there. The kitchen was stocked with Puerto Rican seasonings, vinegar, cooking oil, pasta,... and we were told to help ourselves (We had stocked up at Costco on the north side of the island before getting there where they have giant insulated shopping bags for sale to keep the perishables cold). The trash compactor and dishwasher were not working - The sink was plenty big to handle the dishes. The bedrooms were all air conditioned. The master bedroom was a small apartment sized room with a sitting area and television. There was a viewing deck on the third floor.. It also had WI-FI. There was a 2 car carport. With plenty of street parking. The house is a real period piece and comfortable. If you are looking for a resort experience like the Ritz Carelton in Dorado, this is not it. If you are looking for a great place to vacation with family and friends at a bargain price, this is the place. The only drawback is the bedrooms are all on the third floor. Which would make a stay difficult for those with mobility issues.

Great place to get away

4 of 5
My wife and I had a great experience at this luxury condo. The condo is located at the top of a mountain giving anyone a great view of the town and the caribean sea. It was a delight to sit here every morning as the sun rose over the horizon and feel the breeze that came over the knoll while sitting there, it was such a delight. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well equip. It still needs some amenities to make this a better place. It would be nice to have a grill, an Ironing board, and a Wi-Fi connection. It was a head ache to leave the apartment to connect on the internet to make calls or to check my e-mail. The washer was locked up and we had to ask Javier to get an ok from Alex to open it. Also, this complex has an elevator but it has not been put into service. Las Pargueras has great places to eat. I found "El Balcon" my best place to eat sea food. I was here for 14 days and this was the only place I had dinner. At times you get slow service due to the many people that visits El Balcon, but it's worth the wait in gold. The manager John hustles to get things done and at times you will find him in the kitchen preparing orders. I will not hesitate to return to this great condo or recommended to friends and families.
