A Perfect Escape!

5 of 5
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was everything we wanted it to be and provided a great place for us to escape the cold, northern U.S. winter. It is in a convenient location in a very secure, gated community. There are many different places for people to congregate and relax – from the comfortable living room, spacious dining room and fully-equipped kitchen to the fabulous outdoor spaces, including the pool area. The kids especially liked how the pool had a generous sized deep end that allowed for hours of fun. It was sparkling clean and very refreshing. Also, the convenience of the outdoor kitchen meant that cold beverages were never more than a few steps away. In looking at the pictures and video online before our trip, I never got a good sense of how the home was laid out, but once we arrived, it all became crystal clear and served our needs perfectly. The main home area has the living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, while the “guest house” has an additional living space, the outdoor kitchen, laundry facilities and a half bathroom right by the pool. Other highlights included the home’s beautiful décor and landscaping, powerful air conditioning throughout and the convenient outdoor BBQ grill. Finally, Vida Urbana was very responsive to our needs and requests, which was much appreciated.

So much better than staying at a hotel!

Okay, this house- was amazing. There isn't enough room here to write my entire review, but I am going to try to put it simply. PRO: 1. Large, spacious, clean, had everything you needed. 2. Pool by far was the best part about this place- they provided towels (probably 10 beach towels, and more shower towels than you really needed.) 3. Grocery and liquor stores within walking distance (grocery about 10 minute walk, liquor about 3 minute walk) 4. AC's in every room- (who cares if they are loud- they are wall units, and at least you are cooled off from a hot day!) 5. Grill and all the utensils- we grilled every day. 6. Free internet if you need to use it! We did not! 7. two parking spots, covered garage- we did not use, we used taxi's but it was a nice touch. 8. Did I say so much space? Cons: 1. Watch out for the ENORMOUS pot hole right in front of the road. 2. We didn't get a walk through of the house. House manager showed up, but left oddly enough before we all got into the house- so we had to figure things out. Keys were difficult- there were only 2 - which was hard for a large group. we couldn't figure out how to get into some of the doors. 3. There is a black binder that explains everything in the house- nice touch- other than the house manager didn't point that out to us, so we saw it on the last day. 4. End of the street near the beach is a little sketchy, I wouldn't walk at night, but we did walk the beach every morning. 5. There are table and chairs out by the pool, but no loungers like the photo shows. Totally fine, I slapped a towel right down next to the pool and laid there. Lastly, I went with two couples in their 30s and two couples in their 60s. We had an amazing time. If I did go back to Puerto Rico, I would definitely book again. This location is in between San Juan and Carolina. Located in Ocean Park if you are looking on a map. (or telling a taxi cab driver at the airport! Shawn the owner, was More than helpful and answered every single one of my 50 emails. :) Thank you for a GREAT time and an even better set of memories.
