We enjoyed our stay here, as we were literally steps from the beach. The overall impression of the complex was that it could use a facelift, but the grounds & common areas were clean & well maintained. It was convenient to the store & restaurants. The studio was clean & mostly comfortable, but if we were staying a week again, we would choose a little bigger accommodation. The bed was comfortable until the last couple of nights, where we wished for a regular bed (as opposed to the Murphy bed). I would also suggest a blender, but the kind neighbor across the hall loaned us one. Emanuel was helpful & brought us chairs for the beach since previous renters apparently took the ones that were there. We thoroughly enjoyed walking on the beach! There are food, drink & ice cream vendors close by, plus 3 bars next door. Our favorite place for lunch was Beach Bumz, where Pete served delicious fish tacos (once was grouper & once shark). What a nice guy! The vendors were not pushy, even when you stopped to look at their wares. Old San Juan was an hour bus ride, but was totally worth seeing. I wish we had gone back on another day. The fort we went to was an absolutely amazing place. I was in awe the whole time we toured it. We had rain 3 days, but it was warm (unlike the single digit temps we came home to), so it wasn't that bad. We would definitely return for another visit.
