Amazing family vacation starts w where u stay

5 of 5
They say first impressions make lasting ones holds true for the family friendly apartment where we stayed in Puerto Rico. The convenience from BQN airport was what drew us to this location. In less than 10 minutes we were settling into our home away from home, which is great after a 3 hour flight with an 8 month old. It had breathtaking views of the beach so we saw the sunrise & sunset on a daily basis. The great flow & setup of the apartment allowed us to enjoy as much time in the apartment, when we weren't running around doing what tourists do. It was arranged so that we had easy view and access of our 8 month old from the kitchen, our room etc so she knew we were not far away. Everything was well kept and maintained. It was certainly our home away from home. When we return to Puerto Rico we would love to come back and stay here again & would certainly recommend it to anyone who loves waking up to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Get ready to relax and truly enjoy yourself when you stay here. We HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Wonderful stay, great location!

4 of 5
This property is in a great, private location directly on Shacks beach with sweeping views of the Atlantic ocean. It is in Isabella but on the far west side of town close to Aquadilla. It is clean, safe, secure and reasonably priced. While its not appointed like a luxury resort, it was suitable for our family. We stayed in the 2 bd unit which was beautifully decorated and well-equipped. The kitchen was nice, though a few of the appliances, especially the oven, could use updating. We did have a few problems with the bathroom. It was small for our family of four (shower but no tub) and the shower head was broken and spraying everywhere when we arrived, also there was no pressure. Upon reporting it to the owner someone came the very next day and replaced the shower head. The shower pressure was still low but functioning better and we appreciated the quick service. The bedrooms were small but lovely. The washer and dryer were great, as was the outdoor shower. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The outside patio is large and beautiful and where you will spend 90% of your time. I couldn't get enough of the views and the proximity right on the beach could not be beat. The landscaping around the house and by the pool is gorgeous and lush. The pool is great and there were plenty of toys available for the kids which we appreciated. The only thing we didn't like was having to leave the vacuum in the pool in the mornings. It would have been nice not to have to worry about the vacuum and unhooking it/replacing it every day. The beach is beautiful and very private - practically deserted during the week. It is not a public beach so you feel as though you have it completely to yourself. It is rocky and there are sea urchins, so you have to be careful, but there was an area to the right of the house with a sandy entrance where my kids could swim. On windy days the current can be strong so you need to be careful. It is perfect for water sports and we saw many people snorkeling and kite surfing while we were there. We had a great dinner at The Eclipse restaurant at Villa Montana Resort, only a 5 minute walk on the beach from the house. We also had dinner one night at the restaurant at Royal Isabela resort and that was fabulous. We took a day trip to Cabo Rojo and it was amazing, a must-see! This is not the place to go if you seek adventure and excitement. But if you seek peace, relaxation and tranquility it is pretty close to perfection!

The best deal in PR.

5 of 5
The condo is spacious and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. But what makes this a five star property is the rooftop deck that is yours alone when you stay in the unit. It has an outdoor kitchen, comfortable lounge chairs, hammock, and full hot tub, along with million dollar views. The unit is right on the beach. In addition to having an area with great waves for strong swimmers, there are two enclosed tidal pools within easy walking distance that even small children can enjoy safely. There are many good restaurants in the area and attractions like Rincon and San Juan are an hour or two in the car away. Finally, the owner Pat bends over backwards to make sure you have everything you need, so that you leave the island loving PR as much as he does. I really can't say enough about this place.
