Great place to stay.

5 of 5
This condo is great place to stay while vacationing in Puerto Rico. Its location is perfect as Fajardo is near most of the places you will want to visit during your stay. It is approximately 40 minutes from San Juan/Old San Juan and is about 20 minutes from the rain forest. For day trips to the out lying islands, the ferry terminal is about 5 minutes from the condo. There are a number of beautiful beaches very close by. There are numerous local restaurants to choose from as well as chain/fast food and grocery stores to include Econo and Walmart. The condo is very clean, well maintained, secure and decorated tastefully. The kitchen is fairly well equipped with basic items for cooking. Linens are plentiful and the beds are comfortable. There is air conditioning in all rooms - although most days it was not necessary as there is a nice breeze. The view from the patio overlooks the water and it is a great place to relax and watch the boats. The owner is very conscientious and has someone on call nearby if any issues arise. In general, the island is a wonderful place to visit. It is beautiful and the residents are very friendly and warm. Driving takes a bit of adjustment as signage is not great and roads are at times not very wide; however after a day or two all is good.

Beautiful Views, Beautiful Condo

5 of 5
We spent 8 days at Las Casitas and were so happy with this condo. The views were wonderful and the interior was nicely decorated. The manager was quick to answer our questions and take care of anything we needed. There are several great restaurants within a short drive. The rain forest, El Junque, is definitely worth a visit. Already missing the views from the condo - we will definitely be back.

This place has everything you need!

5 of 5
Maria's condo in Palma Visa, Fajardo was a very good choice for the touring we wanted to do. It was very convenient to the 7 Seas Beach, El Yonque Rainforest, Bioluminescent Bay, Loquillo Kiosks, and not far from Old San Juan. The condo is neat, clean and comfortable and we didn't find anything lacking that we needed during our stay. Maria is easily accessible by phone if you have questions, and she is very friendly and helpful. Palma Vista has only 30 units, it is gated, and the grounds are kept beautiful. We enjoyed the pool a lot..it isn't the largest, but was all we needed. Unfortunately during our stay there was a municipal project going on in the street right in front of Palma Vista which brought in a lot of heavy equipment, but we learned to tune out that noise and didn't find it too bothersome especially since we were off exploring the island much of the time anyway. I expect that by now, they have moved on along the roadway past this location. Overall, our stay was delightful, we enjoyed the condo immensely, and would highly recommend it. (One note, there is no elevator, so if climbing steps is an issue, that would be the only negative to choosing this accommodation.) Of all the places we ate, we enjoyed the Kiosks in Loquillo (don't let the exterior looks scare you away...there is some wonderful food available there.) Also, el hamburguito on Rt. 3 between Loquillo and Fajardo has wonderful burgers and other fresh-made food---outstanding!. We also enjoyed Lolita's Mexican restaurant, also along Rt. 3. It is always crowded with cars in the evening, so you can usually spot it. We sampled a lot of Puerto Rican food and enjoyed some, not so much others. The rainforest and Old San Juan are must do activities. The ferry to Culebra is also a great day....unless you get a day with high winds and big waves. We were unlucky that way, but only one of the 4 of us had an issue. We spent 10 days and never ran out of things to see and do. Read Trip Advisor reviews of attractions and restaurants in the area and create your own itinerary. You will always be happy to return "home" to Maria's comfy condo.
