Incredible, Ecletic and Unique

5 of 5
We had a fantastic time at Villa Pitirre. The rainforests sounds were heavenly. Spent 3 wonderful nights here with a few family members. The property was clean and very well maintained. I hope to be able to return. Thank you for sharing these wonderful piece of heaven with others.

Paradise Lost

4 of 5
A lovely home for a four day visit to the Rainforest. The sounds at night are exquisite with the lovely coqui serenading us to sleep. The rains were frequent afternoon pauses, lending even more tranquility. Lizards - inside and out. The house is charming, even in spite of its spaciousness. Many things to like. NOW FOR THE PROBLEMS: Basic needs for travelers renting homes reheat were not available: no garbage bags, no cutting boards, no laundry machines (dryer is listed), a bit rough looking - floors not clean (but not dirty) - they just carry a dinginess. All our guests did comment that there seemed to be little attention to making it easy for a traveler to feel at home. That said, I would come back because the site is serene, the sounds sublime, well located, pretty and relaxing.

couldn't ask for more...

My husband and I stayed at this incredible home for a week in May, and I am so glad I took the time to research rentals. Not only was the house perfect in every way, but there were tiny, dark condos for rent in other areas for lots more money - plus add-on charges. Here there was none of that. Pipo, the caretaker, let us know that it would be no problem at all if we called him for any reason. Everything was so ideal, that we didn't even need to call once.... The covered porch was where we spent our time when we weren't out exploring the mountains and beaches, small towns and snorkeling trips. We never even went into San Juan, because there was so much else nearby... It rained most every day for a time in this lush area, and we watched the jungle grow daily from this porch. We shopped and cooked and slept, and I could not think of a better paradise to be in....
