Very enjoyable week

4 of 5
We just returned from our trip to this property, and had a very positive experience. We had stayed previously at the attached Embassy Suites, and we wanted to come back to this property, but wanted more space. The condo worked out very well for us. While it would probably be tight for 8, it was more than adequate for two adults and three teenage boys. The owner's recent repairs were very helpful (the new couch is not a fold-out, but made a very good bed)--the washer is still not fixed, but we worked around that, and the owner was very responsive to a quick maintenance request during the week. One reason we like this kind of unit is that we make our own breakfasts and lunches most days to save money, and we were able to do this with no problem (there is only a stovetop, no oven, but we didn't need one)--and there is a good grocery store nearby. All of the logistics--check-in, parking, use of the pool and beach--were effortless. One note--the hotel is renovating rooms and the golf course has closed, so there was far less activity at the property than the last time we were there--but that also meant that the pool was never crowded, so no complaints there. Dorado is a great location, with easy access to San Juan (if you avoid rush hour traffic!) and the rest of the island, and has some very good restaurants. All in all, we had a terrific stay.
