Seahorse Villa is an exquisite property with incredibly gracious, hospitable owners. Nestled high on a hill over the water, it offers jaw-dropping views and lots of privacy (we could only see one other home, about 100 yards away, mostly obscured by trees). The sprawling house is amply large for an extended family, but made an incredible romantic getaway for two. Attention to detail shows everywhere. It doesn't feel like a "rental property" at all; rather, it is an elegantly decorated home built very recently to be the owners dream house. It's immaculately landscaped and lovingly maintained.
Upstairs is a great room, kitchen and full bath. The uppermost deck is equipped with new, stylish, very clean outdoor seating/tables. It could easily accommodate a large party, but we were happy to just eat our meals out there, drink mimosas, and take in the postcard view.
You access the rest of the house from the outside, via stairs from the upper deck. There are private entrances to three separate living spaces. The first has another full kitchen, sitting area, bedroom and bath. The second has a large bedroom with bunks, and full bath. The third is the master bedroom and bath.
The front wall and doors of the master bedroom are mostly glass; sleep with the curtains open and wake at dawn to watch the light slowly reveal the tropical seascape. The master bath is just ridiculous; finished all in stone tile, it has TEN shower heads, and one corner that is all glass for an unobstructed view of the water and nearby islands as you bathe.
The lower deck area is just as extensively furnished as the upper, and surrounds the large infinity pool, which has whirlpool jets at either end.
Down a slope beyond the pool, on the lower part of the property, the owners are building a stable/fencing. There is some bare earth and signs of ongoing construction (lumber, etc.), but we didn't find it distracted much from the otherwise unspoiled view to the Las Melones reef area far below.
The property is very quiet, and mostly all you hear are waves and birds. We had one frustrating afternoon when a boat moored in the cove below and blasted bad party music for hours, but that seemed a rare exception.
Finally, Litza was just amazing. When our flight to PR was delayed, she completely changed her own travel plans (I'm sure at some expense) without the slightest complaint. She even got the jeep rental place to stay open late for us. She is absolutely committed to your happiness.
