Clean, comfortable, inviting and sup. service

Like others we want to keep this place a secret however there was something at the end of our trip that bummed us out when we got home and then completely blown away with the Lynette and her staff's superior customer service and honesty. We spent some time picking out local unique hand made jewelry and stuff for our children. It wasn't so much the cost of everything but the time spent picking everything out and visiting all the local shops. Well one of us accidently dropped the bag between the bed and couch and even after a few sweeps before we left we forgot our stuff. So we got home and thought the worst of course because we were so far from home. I made a call to Lynette and she said nothing to worry because her staff house cleaning member Angel had found it and they have shipped the items already free of charge. Its those moments that make you feel ashamed of any other ideas we might have had of what might have happened to our belongs and strengthens our belief in people. This place was just what we needed, private, clean, beautifully decorated and includes superior customer service which we all can agree is hard to come by. There were only a few things I would recommend. Do not leave any trash out at all as the ants find their way. This is with anywhere but just a note. Also rent a jeep if you stay up on this hill as the drive is steep and long. I would also ask the staff to trim the trees as the view is starting to get blocked by the growth. And remember that if it is not sunny you will not get any hot water as the water is heated by solar panels which is great but just now this. And also bring your own toilet paper. I am surprised that this is not included as it is a very minimal expense and I think we used maybe 1 roll if that. It is in the contract however we totally forgot after 5-6 months. Great job Carlos, Lynette and Angel. We recommend your cottages. Oh and another note, we were going to rent a golf cart from Carlos and there were not available so they gave us a Jeep instead at no extra charge. This was very needed as it rained the 1st couple of days but then 5-6 days of perfect weather. We had a very special trip celebrating our 10 years of marriage. Thank you! Spark and Tara Schneider

A honeymoon we'll keep reminiscing about forever.

My wife and I got married in August, and we knew right away that we wanted to find somewhere tropical and secluded. After several internet searches, and a lot of deliberation, we settled on Puerto Rico, and then Culebra, and then Casa Yaboa's Tree Nest. From the very beginning, it was just better than we could have ever imagined. Jacinto, the owner, was very good to us. He picked us up at the ferry in his Jeep and brought us to a Jeep/golf cart rental place. At first, just looking at the mileage, we foolishly thought we might be able to walk or bike the whole week. But at Jacinto's discretion, we got a golf cart, and we definitely needed it! Casa Yaboa is a fairly long, but extremely pleasant drive from the town and dock. And we enjoyed making the drive every day. Every day we found something to explore, whether it was the world-famous Flamenco Beach, our own private Playa Brava, the extremely close-by Zoni Beach, the charming little museum that tells the island's history, or the little bay we could watch from the Tree Nest. The house was everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower and deck space. You really feel high up in the trees, and nothing in this world beats falling asleep and waking up to the gentle sounds of the Caribbean waves... It was extremely private and secluded. Sometimes, on our deck, we felt like we were the only ones on the island. If privacy is your thing- make sure to check out Zoni Beach. Oftentimes, we were the only ones in sight. But Playa Brava is the real gem. Ask around about how to hike through the jungle for your own personal tropical paradise. We loved the town too. Putting around in our little golf cart at night was the perfect way to spend the evenings. Just be aware that everything closes sort of early, so if you want to get something to eat, you'd better be on top of it or you'll have to go hungry. Speaking of eating, Jacinto's place, Susie's was great, but it was expensive. We highly recommend Zaco's Tacos, and above all else, Heather's Pizza. The pizza and atmosphere were highly unique, and something we have talked about every week since our trip. Culebra is beautiful, and the Tree Nest is the perfect place to experience it in. We'll remember it forever.
