My fiancé and our two young children stayed here while we visited Cabo Rojo and while the town was a little different than expected, the surrounding areas made for great adventures. The beaches can get busy but they are family friendly and the waters are calm and clear. The nightlife was lively but maintained and the locals were a bit reserved, but friendly. Not many places within walking distance and sidewalks are spotty, but the village was close and the Boqueron Bakery had amazing pastries. The town home was clean and comfortable, though we were unable to unlock and open our back door, leading to the patio. Either the lock was faulty or we were without the correct key, but it was no real concern as we spent much of our time on the rooftop terrace. The view is of the neighborhood, with no sight of the beach because it is about a 10 minute jaunt, but there were lawn chairs for lounging and the kids enjoyed the hose in the heat. The mattresses were thin and firm, but we slept well until the early am roosters started up. There were plenty of appliances and dishes and the townhouse was in good condition. The property manager even provided us with a driver to and from San Juan after we had complications with renting a vehicle. Cabo Rojo was a beautiful and historical part of the island and Boqueron a quaint little town near a few very beautiful beaches. Just be sure to shop for groceries before making your way into town and check out the nearby bio bays!
