Greatly enjoyed our stay at Thanksgiving!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful family get together (15 family members) at this lovely beach property. It was a beautiful private beach and a very nice pool area. Everyone enjoyed the volleyball, ping-pong and lots of swimming. The location was reasonable to all the attractions we wanted to see (zip lining, bioluminescent bay, the caves and snorkeling). It was so nice to have an almost unlimited supply of beach towels available and outside showers to clean off the sand. Our family would love to rent this property again.

Beatufil Wedding Getaway

5 of 5
We rented the house for our wedding getaway from Javier, which was very helpful during the whole planning process. I am from Puerto Rico but living in Brazil and recently got married in this house with my brazilian wife on a wedding for about 75 people. The ceremony was held in the in the beach with the reception in the grass by the pool area. It was wonderful how everything looked in the wedding with the ocean in the bckground. It trully was better than we had thought. Great recommend this house for these type of activities especially for wedding getaways. Also, Javier takes care of the house a lot better than most hotels. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, etc....is very well decorated, clean and really makes you fell cozy like you were at home.

Best vacation ever!

5 of 5
Our three stays at Canary Castle in 2011 and 2013 were the most tranquil and restful six weeks of our lives. We've rented many places in the U.S. and abroad, and none can match the comfort, cleanliness, and privacy of Wanda and Nelson's place or its spectacular ocean view. During our first visit we did some sightseeing, including memorable day trips to the Arecibo Observatory and for lunch at El Fogon de Abuela on Lago Dos Bocas, but during our last two stays we spent much of our time in the two hammocks on the deck, reading and gazing at the Atlantic, with occasional forays to roadside stands or the Walgreens and the Pueblo grocery on route 10 for supplies or to Salitre, a few miles down the beach and with the same killer view, for a leisurely and delicious late lunch. Everyone we met in Arecibo, in the neighborhood and in restaurants and stores, was warm and friendly and anxious to make sure we were enjoying our stay in their town and on their island. And Wanda and Nelson are two of the kindest and most generous people we've ever met.
