Beautiful stay

5 of 5
It was a beautiful villa and this place is exactly how pictured/described. This house comes with towels, sheets, cooler, as well as all the kitchen ware. It was very cleaned and you can tell the owner of a house put a lot of thoughts for his guests. Jose was a wonderful host and he was available for any local tips, suggestions and hospitable. It was us, one child and grandparents. (4 adults and 1 child) This villa is spacious, so it never felt crowded. We went to near by surfing town, Rincon a couple of times and beaches there are beautiful as well. But Crush boat beach is really a gem spot for snorkeling. We were there every morning, swimming with fishes… It is just minutes away from this villa. We just relaxed by the pool, look at beautiful ocean, infinity pool and sky…. what more do you need?! We ate simple food at a house, but we also did take-aways couple of nights. Please do try local speciality, monfugo! It is delicious. There are plenty of super markets, gas station, pharmacy, near by. Jose and Sylvia, thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Our new second home.

5 of 5
Our vacation experience truly started the day Bert and I connected. I instantly knew that we were in for a special experience. Not a question went unanswered. Our interaction blew any and all of my expectations out of the water. The condominium layout is EXACTLY what you see in the photos. The décor is modern and thoughtfully put together. Your needs and wants have already been taken care of…from beach chairs to snorkeling equipment to a beach cooler, etc. The pride and love for this home-away-from-home is evident. And the view, oh the view from this condo, at sunset, is SPECTACULAR. It will leave you speechless. Exploring this side of the Enchanted Island was truly an unexpected experience. Erroneously I believed that all of the “action” was in the metro area. There is so much to do and to get you started; a binder full of suggestions can be found in the condo. Crashboat beach, and its distance from the condo, quickly became a regular visit. We visited the following restaurants and were not disappointed: The FuFu African Restaurant, Rico Sandwich (breakfast), Restaurant Libras Steak House and Seafood (the mofongo with churrasco is amazing!), Restuarante La Guardarraya, Villa Montana Beach Resort (very romantic with beach side tables) and D Rose Chocolate Factory (best coffee and chocolates EVER). You will not be disappointed. In fact, you will start planning your next trip while you’re packing up to leave. Thank you, Bert & Liz, for making this a memorable vacation and sharing with us your little piece of paradise. We look forward to going “home” in the near future. Danette & Jorge

Perfect.

We were looking for somewhere in western Puerto Rico to take our 12 adult family members for Thanksgiving week. We found Villa Carambola on the internet and we feel so lucky to have found it. Often, what travelers see in pictures on a website is not exactly the reality they find upon arrival. This is not the case with Villa Carambola. The photos show exactly what you get. Six wonderful bedrooms with full bath, each one a great place to spend time. None of us felt like we got the "bad bedroom." There is no bad bedroom at Villa Carambola only amazing bedrooms and the large living spaces, well equipped kitchen, and especially the outside areas, are unsurpassed. The pool is lovely, the ocean right there and the views amazing. Even with 12 people, each one of us could find a place to be by ourselves or visit with a group of from two to the full crowd. There are so many lounging areas and four dining areas that seat from 6 to 12 people for meals. We met the owners, Shannon and Alberto, and they are very gracious and the property manager and house cleaner very helpful. The house is immaculate. Golf, snorkeling, surfing, beaches, great restaurants, and even the airport with flights from the mainland are only minutes away. Whether you are former Puerto Rican residents like us, or if this is your first time to the Caribbean, this is a find.
