We would like to say that WE LOVED THIS PLACE....

5 of 5
My family and I have stayed in this apartment twice and we will be visiting again in May 2015 and July 2015, This apartment is our home away from home. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL and is very relaxing and the owners are very accommodating. We live in New York and every time we travel to Puerto Rico we have chosen to stay in this apartment. The attractions in the town of Aguadilla are wonderful. Crash Boat Beach is one of Puerto Rico's Best beaches and my family and I enjoy it very much. However when we get tired of swimming and eating out, we stay in watch TV which is a beautiful entertainment center they have, our boys go off to the pool and my husband I enjoy the apartment and its loveliness. Thank you Edward and Glenda for maintaining such a beautiful apartment and for always having everything we need in your beautiful apartment, which we consider our 2nd home. Sandra Tapia

Beautiful property, perfect family vacation

5 of 5
We had a fantastic time at Alberto and Shannon's house! Perfect for our family of 8, and certainly could have fit several more people. The property is absolutely beautiful, with picture-perfect views to the West for sunsets. We spent most days lounging by the pool, the area around the pool I think is much bigger than the pictures make clear. With as lush and green as the property is, I was surprised that there were no bugs whatsoever, which was great. Nice chaise lounges on a couple of different decks. One big space around the pool, then several other unconnected spaces, which gave the teenagers some space. The beach down below is rough and beautiful... not really a lay-out-your-towel and sunbathe sort of thing, but great for the kids to play in the sand and for swimming. Pretty good waves, but not dangerous or anything, our 7 and 9 year olds had fun playing in the water, although we did keep an eye on them due to rocks at the shoreline. The water is clear and clean; no jellyfish, no dirt, no seaweed, etc. Put on some goggles and you can see some brightly colored fish swimming about, lots of the blue ones from Finding Nemo. (Note: would be great to have a snorkel at the house!). We went to Crash Boat beach (10 minute walk) one day, it was nice and fun, but the property was so great that we just spent the one day at Crash Boat. Lots of food vendors. Jose, the property manager, was awesome and was always there when we needed him. He even called and ordered pizza delivery for us one night when we couldn't figure out how to tell them how to get to the house. One of the A/C units was dripping water, and in less than an hour Jose had a couple guys in replacing it. Midday every day a nice lady would come in do the dishes, clean the kitchen, tidy the rooms, and wash the beach towels. Just like a hotel, it made a big difference as this was the first time we ever rented a house (as opposed to hotel or resort), and we weren't sure if we would end up picking up after the kids all day. We also had someone come in to cook dinner one night (arranged by Jose): delicious, simple Puerto Rican food. Another night we used the brand new (and huge) grill to cook burgers. We ate most dinners at local restaurants, and typically had breakfast and lunch at the house (Boca Loca and Desecheo were great, we also had a fancier meal at The Eclipse which had beachfront dining). Go ziplining! It was a great family vacation. We hope to be back.

WOW!

5 of 5
Well… what can I say… in brief WOW! One of our best vacations! Me and my family have travelled all over the world and stayed in similar private villas. At first we were a bit hesitant about coming to Puerto Rico, as we had heard that service was sometimes just not up to par, but since one of our family member’s passports was expired, we decided to try it out. It was the best decision ever. We were a group of 8… travelled with the wife, kids and both sets of grandparents. Since we wanted more of a retreat type experience and really did not want to leave the house too much, we decided to get the all-inclusive package. Definitely worth it! When we checked in, we were greeted by the butler (Merida) as well as the property manager (Sarah). The home was even prettier in person than in the pictures and the view and access to the beach were spectacular (major bonus we even saw whales – apparently this was also whale watching season). The service was world-class and can honestly say that perhaps the only complaint was that the air-conditioning worked too well and sometimes missed out on the tropical weather when the air was on. All our meals were prepared by the private chef, the bar was top shelf stocked and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and had a relaxing stay. I don’t recall having had to even prepare one drink during our stay… :) Awesome place for a family with kids… every day we had movie night, as the private theater was awesome… we must have watched well over a dozen movies. Spent all our time between the beach, snorkeling, kayaking, the movie room and eating. It was a genuine caribbean retreat. I highly recommend Casa Herdz and we will definitely do a repeat visit… but I’ll have to keep it brief as I am at the airport and unfortunately returning back to reality!
