The house was in excellent condition with an owner that was highly interactive. Paul made sure we were happy and was in constant communication every step of the way. Our flight was delayed and we arrived at 2am. Felix, his local caretaker, said “don’t worry, call me when you’re close” We got lost and he drove to meet us and had us follow him to the house. He walked us through like it was the middle of the day and with a smile on his face! THANKS FELIX! Great people like Paul & Felix make me want to take the time to write a review (which is rare). The other reviews are accurate. The house and everything in it is in nice condition.
When we weren’t walking the beach (right across the street), we had plenty to do. We went to Tropical Trail Rides 45 minutes north in Isabela where we rode horses on a beautiful deserted beach – just incredible! Snorkeling at Steps Beach in Rincon 10 minutes to the South was like something you would see on TV. The fish, coral, lobsters, urchins and much more were 10 feet off shore to over 100 yards off shore and I don’t know how far, because after 2 hours, I didn’t get to the end. Marullo’s restaurant is a few doors down and has the best Grouper you will find anywhere. I went back again a few nights later! El Galeon Restaurant was two doors down the other direction and had great food as well with both indoor air-conditioned seating and outdoor patio dining. We liked the area so much, we are considering a move there. Finally for anyone that is concerned about safety, we felt very comfortable everywhere we went and Puerto Rico’s reputation seems to be largely based on inner city San Juan 100 miles away.
