                      Absolutely Perfect!!!

                      5 of 5
We rented this property because of the photos on this site, and we certainly were not disappointed. The house itself is very clean, tastefully decorated and is not lacking any amenities. Ron and Barb's vacation home is absolutely perfect, a 10 out of 10. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation in PEI this is the place to stay. Their home backs right on to a nice long stretch of beach so you can hear the soothing sound of the waves as you sit on the expansive deck watching the beautiful sun sets. We met Ron when we first arrived and found him to be very friendly and extremely helpful. That said, he have gave us total privacy, but he made it clear that we could call at anytime if we needed anything. If we have the opportunity to return to PEI we definitely want to stay here again if it is available. I've also told my friends that this is the place to stay if they are ever in PEI.

                      Delightful, relaxing, quiet vacation!

                      5 of 5
A charming two bedroom cottage with an incredible view of the ocean. Very private and peaceful. Lovely private rocky/sandy beach. The stairs down to the beach are not for the faint of heart, but it's well worth the climb down and up every day to collect sea glass and shells and just sit by the ocean and bask in the sun. There are also two chairs by the top of the stairs from which to watch the cruise ships and ferry boats go by and they are great for sitting in and reading a good book. Everything in the cottage was charming and clean and well thought out. There's a full refrigerator and stove/oven, microwave and coffee maker. And Iris brought us a dozen fresh eggs! It was great to be able to relax in the morning and fix a little breakfast before starting the day. Everything on the island (except for the far western section) is an easy drive from the cottage. We made several trips to Charlottetown, Rustico/Cavendish beaches, the singing sands and many lighthouses. Most trips were less than half a day drive there and back. The best place for fish and chips on the island is just 10 minutes away - Brehaut's. When we weren't out playing tourist, we spent time in the lovely dining room/living room looking out at the ocean, playing cards, watching some movies on our DVD player. There is no TV in the cottage, but we found that made the stay even more relaxing. No TV, no news or outside world to intrude. We brought our DVD player and some movies we hadn't yet had a chance to watch. There's also a small grocery store on the way to Brehaut's that rents movies. We came in September and there were a couple of cold nights, but the heating in the cottage works great. During the warm days, we just opened up the windows in the dining and living rooms and there was a lovely cross breeze. We loved our vacation and returned home relaxed and refreshed. We are already planning a return in the spring/summer so we can see everything in bloom!

                      Cute cottage & amazing beach

                      5 of 5
The house is privately situated with trees & fence on the road side, garage to the rear with bikes & toys, large front yard facing the beach, and another cabin to the opposite side. As shown in the photo, there are trees blocking some of the beach view but providing privacy as well. The house was completely stocked with anything & everything we needed from spices to a million towels, to "soft" toilet paper, etc. We couldn't have asked for a more "move in & relax" kind of house. We loved the goodie basket and even visited the winery which is so close. We had some rainy weather so the screen porch was nice. The mosquitos were bad due to the rain and trees so bug spray was a must. The beach is lovely & the low tides are really low allowing the kids to explore all of the pools & sandbars without us being right there (more sitting & relaxing for moms & dads of young kids). The seals were an added bonus to the allure of the beach. We could see the lighthouse & Wood Island Ferry from our beach. A Canadian park is practically next door so the kids could play on the playground & we could run the park. The house was so close to the beach, I could let my baby nap in the house while I was on the beach & yet easily check on her often. Crabby's seafood at the ferry had excellent seafood to cook at home. The restaurant in Murrey Harbor (in the house-can't remember name) was delicious & the train station restaurant was decent too. Peppers Pizza in Monteque was delicious. Ricks up in St Peters had the best fish & chips I've had on the island. Overall the house was conveniently located to explore the quieter areas of the island, was fully stocked & decorated so cute, great yard and toys for kids, easy access to beach (right in front of us), etc. I would definitely recommend and would love to return some day.
