Fabulous central location

4 of 5
This spotlessly clean, well furnished apartment is right in the heart of Charlottetown, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, theatres. Breakfast in the Casa Mia is included in the room rate and is a great added-value. Everything on the menu is included from toast to a full cooked breakfast. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive in Charlottetown until 2am. By the time we retrieved our luggage and grabbed a taxi to the apartment, it was closer to 3am. And there waiting to greet us, were the owners of the apartment. That was definitely going "above and beyond!" There were, however, a couple of negatives: the bedroom is located at the back of the building, overlooking the rear parking lot with truck access for deliveries and garbage pick-up. It was quite noisy, with what appeared to be daily, early morning garbage pick-up.The only other negative was the lack of room darkening window coverings. This was only an issue because the parking lot was lit with security flood lights. That meant the bedroom was illuminated too! It was so bright I could read my book without putting the bedroom light on. We did all the standard touristy things: walked the boardwalk; visited Anne of Green Gables (lovely); rented a car and drove all over the island, had wonderful seafood at the Water Prince Corner Shop; ice cream from Cows; lobster, lobster and more lobster, Rick's fish and chips in St. Peters and the Blue Mussel restaurant in North Rustico Harbour were wonderful The Olde Triangle Pub is definitely worth a visit. Food is good and the Celtic music is not to be missed. Loved every minute of out stay; we can't wait to go again.

Amazing location, friendly hosts. Great space.

Greeted by a red fox on the front lawn when we arrived was a good omen. Place was everything we hoped for: private, spacious, fully furnished for all our needs (and then some: thanks for those delicious jams!). 10 minute walk to an amazing beach. North Rustico is the perfect central spot for first-time PEI visitors! We spent just over a week there and never felt 'bored'. Jacquie is a charming and super-organized host. The listing was accurate, and the property was spotless and stocked with everything we needed. I would recommend staying here to anyone who enjoys exploring an area well. North Rustico is beautiful and just big enough to provide most everything you need if staying longer than a few nights. And of course, it's just less than 10 minutes to Cavendish and the whole Gable thing, and just over half an hour to Charlottetown. Speaking of gables -- if your favourite gable colour is green, you'll certainly feel very comfortable in the apartment. I never realized just how many Anne books there actually are out there! We also enjoyed walking the N Rustico boardwalk at least once a day. Weather, for the first week of September was just awesome. Thanks Jacquie and Greg for making our first trip to the island one we'll always treasure! - Bob and Nancy
