Everything we expected plus more

5 of 5
Ole greeted us after arriving from our flight in to Charlottetown with a glass of wine and appetizers. A great way to begin our vacation. The home was everything that was described plus more. The location was perfect, the home was completely equipped with everything we needed, and a unique experience we won't forget. A totally enjoyable stay in an extremely beautiful condo! We would not hesitate in returning for our next vacation to PEI.

Wonderful cottage for PEI vacation!

5 of 5
The central location of the cottage is what drew us to this rental: it is directly adjacent to PEI National Park, and is walking distance to the beaches via the National Park bike trail. It's central location makes Charlottetown an easy 20 minute drive, North Rustico and Cavendish half and hour or less, and the Eastern half of the island a comfortable drive. However it is the ambiance of the cottage that made it wonderful. The cottage was clearly a well loved vacation home, with touches that make it special and all the amenities you could want. The deck was absolutely the best! The deck was positioned to get morning sun for coffee and also late afternoon sun for post beach drinks. In the back there is a furnished screened porch with an adjacent BBQ deck, perfect for an al fresco dinner! The owners were communicative and very informative both before and during our stay. Rob was friendly and available nearby as a source of good advice on places to eat and shop as well as suggestions for outings. We stayed for two weeks in the last half of September and experienced a few unusually cool evenings that we were able to pleasantly temper by the fireplace/woodstove in the living room. Our late season stay was perfect for long walks on the beaches, bike rides along the National Park (Dalvay to Brackley & North Rustico to Cavendish) and on the Confederation Trail (especially St. Peters to Morell), and opportunities to explore the fishing villages. We recommend North Rustico (good dining, CoOp, bakery, fish shop, boardwalk) and Souris (boardwalk and lobster rolls) and Montague (lovely harbor boardwalk linked to Confederation Trail). A rainy day took us to Charlottetown for sightseeing (see Province House) and Confederation Hall's multimedia historical presentation. Don't miss the Farmer's Market on Saturdays in September. In short, its location and features made the cottage a wonderful home base for a PEI vacation!

50th Wedding Anniversary for our Parents

5 of 5
We had our parents Anniversary here and the place was perfect for it. We had a week of family fun, everything you need for entertaining is here from plenty of dishes etc. to a great place for dancing or a relaxing evening by the huge stone fireplace in the pavilion. The kids from ages 13 to 78 enjoyed the house itself, the basketball net and Ping Pong in the pavilion, games and the bikes, they were always biking into Georgetown or on the Confederation Trail. We also spent a couple days at the beautiful singing sands beach (awesome). One restaurant in town we all loved was Clam Digger's, great seafood. Our family was mostly here from the west, Alberta and BC and even a few from Australia and everyone loved it and still talking about it, oh and wondering what occasion we can celebrate next to come back. Thank You Sandra for answering all questions I had you were great. Hope to see you again. Thanks Beth
