50th Wedding Anniversary for our Parents

5 of 5
We had our parents Anniversary here and the place was perfect for it. We had a week of family fun, everything you need for entertaining is here from plenty of dishes etc. to a great place for dancing or a relaxing evening by the huge stone fireplace in the pavilion. The kids from ages 13 to 78 enjoyed the house itself, the basketball net and Ping Pong in the pavilion, games and the bikes, they were always biking into Georgetown or on the Confederation Trail. We also spent a couple days at the beautiful singing sands beach (awesome). One restaurant in town we all loved was Clam Digger's, great seafood. Our family was mostly here from the west, Alberta and BC and even a few from Australia and everyone loved it and still talking about it, oh and wondering what occasion we can celebrate next to come back. Thank You Sandra for answering all questions I had you were great. Hope to see you again. Thanks Beth

Spacious, kid friendly, perfect locaction.

We wanted to see Anne’s Land, National Seashore and eat seafood and this house was a perfect location for it. Not close enough to walk to the beach but in a lovely area in the countryside near a playground. Less than a 15 min drive to Cavandish (Anne of Green Gables and The Cow i.e. ice cream), North Rustico (good seafood), and Sea Shore (beach). The house was beautiful, well maintained, and clean and has a beautiful porch and grill where we were able to eat out. One of the most spacious houses I looked at with room for 6 adults and three small children too. Very accommodating to the children, giving us high chairs and beach toys. Kitchen was very well stocked and even came with a lobster pot. It was also useful having a washer and drier with all the beach visits we did and the house has a complimentary National Park pass that saved us a lot on our beach visits. We would certainly stay at this location again. Also, very reasonably priced and accommodating to last minutes changes to our arrival day and time.

The farm house was just as it was pictured.

The farm house was perfect for our family reunion. Everyone who wanted one had their own room. The couples had their own rooms and the singles had a room to themselves. The kitchen was the main meeting place except when it was nice outdoors when we sat outside. We had a bonfire four nights and watched for shooting stars. There were 9 in the house and 2 in a motor home so we had lots for meals. The kitchen was very well stocked but we ran short of toilet paper which one of my sisters came prepared. We left some for the next tenants. The water was great for drinking and we didn't run out of hot water. Long walks in the country were enjoyed by some. This vacation has now moved to the top of the list of my favourite vacations. I would recommend this place to anyone who wanted to get together with a group of 6-10. We travelled to Cavendish, Kensington, Summerside, and Charlottetown where we ate at restaurants and shopped. We tried to go deep sea fishing but high winds prevented that but it is usually available. Whether you go to see the countryside, swim at the beach, shop til you drop, or just relax in the country, it suits every purpose. I hope to go back sometime.
