Our new friend....

5 of 5
We would like to thank the owners of this dear Cape Tryon House for donating a week to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as a fundraiser with sincere and deep gratitude. This home welcomed us into its great spacious rooms filled with warmth and comfort upon our arrival. There is no hotel room in the world that can replace the hospitality that we found here. PEI has a terrific history and so much of it is represented through out the house. There is beautiful artwork, carvings, mosaics, and trinkets everywhere. The furniture and rugs, lighting and wall colors all played together to make coming 'home' after a long day of fun a treat. Our grandchildren loved the bedrooms on the third floor. The rooms were created with a lot of love and forethought, which was not lost on the kids. We adults enjoyed sitting below stairs to listen to their giggles and play. We found that the kids enjoyed a fire in the fireplace in the mornings and so we all gathered there for breakfast and to plan the days adventures. We returned there at the end of the day to enjoy the extensive selection of books and music that we found tucked here and there in little corners. Green grass and the ocean beyond is not only a fantastic view but a fabulous place for the kids and pup to burn off extra energy. A few kites, and a bat and ball did the trick! We have already started to plan our next trip to this excellent place that is Prince Edward Island and to our new friend, The Cape Tryon House.

Great place to stay!

5 of 5
This house was the perfect place to stay in French River. We were right near Stanley Bridge and went to a Ceilidh twice and would have gone a third time if we had stayed longer. The pictures of the house are exactly what is shown, except the porch is not shown and is just beautiful with the view and all the chairs. Melanie was great to deal with and all my e-mails were answered in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to stay here again because no one in our party wanted to leave the house. It was so clean and well provided.

Fantastic Cottage and Location

5 of 5
Sadly, we are in the process of packing up after 10 wonderful days at Cousins Shore Cottage. The cottage is beautiful, was immaculate upon arrival and even better than the photos. The beach is fantastic and just a quick walk from the cottage. An excellent walking beach. The views from the cottage deck are amazing both with your morning coffee or a glass a wine before dinner. This is a great home base for exploring the rest of the island. We have rented several properties through VRBO with varying results. This was absolutely the best experience we have had. Jim was great to deal with as was our on site contact Linda. We are a 55 plus couple however this location would also be great for a small family. I expect small tots would love playing in the stream that runs down to the ocean as the water is very warm. The fresh seafood that can be purchased from the local fish market is superb. What a great experience. Pam and Jim thank you for sharing this lovely cottage with us. We are really hoping to book again next year.
