Delightful Condo in the heart of Charlottetown!

4 of 5
We spent a wonderful 10 days in this beautiful, spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo! Our visit started with a delicious dinner prepared for us by the owners, Ole and Karen, over which we had an opportunity to relax after a long car ride and to learn all about Charlottetown and about the apartment itself. I spent much of that first evening (as well of much of the rest of my visit) admiring the beautiful artwork and the architectural features of the building and the apartment itself! A lovely evening to begin our lovely stay! The beautiful, chef's kitchen was a little wasted on me, as part of my vacation was not cooking too much. However, it would be perfect for chefs and aspiring chefs who want to practice their gourmet cooking, and the place itself is perfect for entertaining. And I did make good use of the professional espresso maker (after Ole gave me a lesson ;-) and had homemade, delicious lattes every morning. Our hosts left us on our own to relax, unless we had a question or they had an idea that they thought would interest us, and then they were quick to answer and give us whatever help we needed. For example, there is a projector in the condo (no TV, but there is a supply of movies and an HDMI connection, so it's possible to watch movies on the giant screen and stream content if you bring a laptop). When we were being shown how it worked, my husband discovered that there was a problem with it. The next day a replacement appeared at the condo and all was well. The building itself is really beautiful and there are several outdoor areas to hang out on - a lovely little patio and a rooftop oasis. It is within a 5-10 minute walk of the water, shops, theatres, pubs, etc. I love to walk, and my husband loves to relax and read - so this place was ideal for us! We would definitely recommend this place for couples or families wanting have a fun, relaxing stay in Charlottetown. Looking forward to when we can visit again!

Fabulous central location

4 of 5
This spotlessly clean, well furnished apartment is right in the heart of Charlottetown, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, theatres. Breakfast in the Casa Mia is included in the room rate and is a great added-value. Everything on the menu is included from toast to a full cooked breakfast. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive in Charlottetown until 2am. By the time we retrieved our luggage and grabbed a taxi to the apartment, it was closer to 3am. And there waiting to greet us, were the owners of the apartment. That was definitely going "above and beyond!" There were, however, a couple of negatives: the bedroom is located at the back of the building, overlooking the rear parking lot with truck access for deliveries and garbage pick-up. It was quite noisy, with what appeared to be daily, early morning garbage pick-up.The only other negative was the lack of room darkening window coverings. This was only an issue because the parking lot was lit with security flood lights. That meant the bedroom was illuminated too! It was so bright I could read my book without putting the bedroom light on. We did all the standard touristy things: walked the boardwalk; visited Anne of Green Gables (lovely); rented a car and drove all over the island, had wonderful seafood at the Water Prince Corner Shop; ice cream from Cows; lobster, lobster and more lobster, Rick's fish and chips in St. Peters and the Blue Mussel restaurant in North Rustico Harbour were wonderful The Olde Triangle Pub is definitely worth a visit. Food is good and the Celtic music is not to be missed. Loved every minute of out stay; we can't wait to go again.

Craig was a fantastic host who was very accommodating. He met me at the house when I arrived in Charlottetown to show me around the house and explain things. There were tour brochures available at the house and Craig was very willing to help when questioned about places to visit and eat. The house was very clean. It is in the heart of an area of shopping, pubs and the harbour. There were 6 of us staying in the house and having two bathrooms available was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
