Perfect Family Getaway

5 of 5
Our family of 8 (ages 5 to 72) found the cottage ideal for our visit to PEI. The space worked wonderfully, allowing us to spend time together or each "do our own thing." The location was terrific, as we could easily visit Charlottetown or travel to multiple destinations across the Island. Everything in the house was thoughtfully provided, so we could prepare meals, watch DVD's, or sit on the porch in the colorful Adirondack chairs. The beach was great for the kids to build sand castles or the adults to take an early morning or evening stroll. All in all, Island Bay Cottage helped us experience a terrific family vacation; I would recommend it to any group seeking a peaceful location with access to every kind of activity.

One Word - AMAZING!!

5 of 5
Pictures never lie and it couldn't be more true for this beautiful cottage. What was offered at this lovely getaway was beyond our expectations. The property and grounds were well maintained and everything you needed was made available, and then some. The owners, Trevor and Judy, were very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. One of the most pleasurable amenities was the outdoor hottub overlooking the bay and the serenity of the location was absolutely priceless. We were grateful that we were so close to the Dunes Gallery - we ate there 3 times and must say it was our favorite place to also shop for gifts. Cavendish Beach is probably one of the most beautiful beaches in North America and we enjoyed walking and biking in that area of PEI. We were also able to enjoy a couple of rounds of golf during our stay. This was probably one of the most restful holidays we've had as we spent a good length of time just relaxing at Tigh-Na-Mara and enjoying its beautiful view and tranquility. My favorite piece of decor at the cottage was Eeyore, the stuffed animal in one of the bedrooms. Absolutely adorable. I'm trying to get one on EBay! We're hoping to return some day to Tigh-Na-Mara and have been singing the praises of this beautiful cottage since we've returned home.

Amazing House & Beautiful Views

5 of 5
The house is absolutely something out of a magazine. It is beautifully decorated & spacious. Room for all of us to have private space. The deck & hot tub overlooked the bay area. The yard adjoined the water but it was more marshy right there so we didn't enter the water. It was a beautiful view though. The sunset & moon rise were amazing. The kitchen was massive with a built in table on the side, bar stools, & a large dining table. We utilized the fireplace on the colder nights. The house is located in a nice development with a great area to run & view the bay most of the way. We were only 20-25 min drive to Charlottetown and even less to Cavendish. Richard's seafood was great eating there & buying our oysters & fish to cook at home as well. I definitely recommend this house. The owner was easy to work with as well.
