Expanding on my header above:
The cottage is located in a very pleasant and peaceful area. It's two miles or so from the touristic centre of Porto (easily accessible via numerous modes of transport), and all of two minutes walk from the Atlantic coast and the Duoro river. I didn't know it when booking, but I couldn't have picked better.
The property itself is lovely. The photos here are faithful to what it is. Pleasant, individual decor, kept very clean, independent from the main house, and with a lovely secluded pool by which you take a delightful breakfast. For my girlfriend and me, it suited our needs perfectly.
As for the owner, you really couldn't wish for a more charming, helpful, and knowledgeable host. The owner was very happy to impart information on her neighbourhood and 'downtown' Porto, which ensured we made the most of our stay and led to a succession of super meals. And for the avoidance of doubt, the owner in no way interferes- you are left to enjoy the surroundings / property in peace, but should you make a request, you find her extremely helpful and resourceful. An anecdote to illustrate her helpfulness: I had lost my phone in a taxi (entirely my own fault) on my way to the property- as soon as I arrived, the owner immediately took control of matters, spoke with a variety of sources, and my phone was found and returned quickly.
As I said to the owner, should I return to Porto, I would stay here again.
