Vacation of a lifetime!

5 of 5
Wether it was devine intervention that drew me to this website listing or pure luck but we couldn't have imagined a more perfect spot to share this vacation time with our family. Our stay at Villa Vahimanui was just amazing! Pierre the owner is so nice and helpful. He provides detailled information about his home and a lot of tips about Bora Bora. His caretakers are very nice and are more than willing to help in any way possible. They met us at the dock upon our arrival, gave us a quick tour of the settlement where we could buy groceries, alcohol and dine out. They escorted us to Villa Vahimanui and showed us around. The property is unmatched with its magnificient views! We have never seen one place so beautiful from sunup to sundown. It seemed that throughout the day, the colors and hues on the water continually changed. The property is tastefully decorated, clean, modern and well stocked. We enjoyed the local restaurants that were recommended by Pierre especially the Maikai and the Bloody Mary's. We enjoyed the wonderful white sandy beach of Matira and the great snorkeling near "motu Toopua". It was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to a return trip as soon as possible!

Lovely villa, perfectly positioned, well appointed

5 of 5
We were warmly greeted on arrival I taxi which had been organized by Karine to pick us up at the airport. Everything was ready for us. The view was stunning, the snorkeling excellent. The kitchen was well enough equipped to cook at more than a basic level. Across the road is Remy Magasin which has just about everything you might want for your stay, from reasonably priced wine to fresh fish, meat and vegetables. The villa is a 15 minute walk from Maharepa. We had a couple I very small issues during our stay - a text message to Karine brought an instant response. The villa also has some snorkeling gear and kayaks for this who want to get into the lagoon (isn't that everyone). I have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing stay on a beautiful island

Hard to beat!

5 of 5
We spent 2 weeks at Fare Hamara during the "rainy season" but lucked out with fantastic weather (one full rain day and a few sprinkles the rest of our stay). The house is spacious and the views are lovely. Jacques is the best part. He is so very helpful, he picked us up at the ferry terminal and took us grocery shopping! We shared some drinks on the deck to say thanks! We walked to the beautiful, pristine beach almost everyday (we rented a car for the 2nd week of our stay only- go Avis) The bathroom is huge and there are plenty of towel racks to dry swimsuits. Great showers! Yes, there are geckos inside and out but they are after mozzies so we welcomed them! We finally figured out we needed repellent when we were outside in the mornings and evenings. The itch didn't last long like the ones in the Midwest. We also saw a few wasps and plantation bugs, but it is the tropics! My friend and I hate air conditioning and loved the ceiling and portable fans. We were never too hot. Yes, the driveway is steep and a bit bumpy but go slow and steady and even the weakest rental car will make it up. There are NO neighbors, other than Jacques and you will not hear him. The roosters weren't as bad as I've experienced in Central America but I still brought earplugs. We loved Les Tipaniers for paddleboarding, Chez Fifi for crepes, Eva Perles for bling and Moorea Yacht Club for excellent food & drink! I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Jacques, Mary and Bob.
