Best memory of our trip to Bora Bora

5 of 5
After staying in hotels on Moorea and Tahiti, this bungalow was a welcome change, especially with the limited choices on the island for vacation rentals that are modern and updated. The owner, Ed, and his wife, have done an exceptional remodel of this place; and the proximity to town is good for shopping. When you arrive on island, you will be greeted by a local French couple, Christophe and Ginou; they are very gracious and helpful with recommendations on where to shop for groceries and dining. Although we never ate out the entire time we were there! The kitchen is incredible and provides everything you need to prepare your own gourmet meals. We considered staying at one of the hotels that are on their own motus, but we didn't want to be isolated, and wanted to feel at home with the convenience of a kitchen to prepare our own meals ( restaurants are scarce and the food isn't always very good), wifi for internet access, and laundry facilities which are hard to find on island, and often not even available at the hotels. The views are to die for, and there are all the comforts of home, including a grill. If you didn't bring gear for a day at the beach, they provide paddleboards and snorkeling gear, as well as bicycles in case you decide to set out for a day of exploring the island. We loved this place so much we plan on staying again and again for our visits to Bora Bora!

Perfect family getaway!

5 of 5
This was our favorite vacation rental by far! The master bedroom and deck are amazing. The house is gated off from everything but the water so no worries about kids running off We used the complimentary kayaks every morning to go see dolphins, we rode the bikes all over the island and jumped off the deck into the water daily. The house had everything we needed to cook, play and relax. Can't wait to go back

Best vacation ever!!!

5 of 5
As you read the reviews below, they all say the same thing; best vacation ever in the best house on the island. We completely agree with those other comments. We loved our9-day stay. 7 of us shared this best house on the island. Tiare greeted us when we arrived and took care of us throughout our stay. The time to return our cars and catch the ferry didn't work out for us so Tiare made a call to a friend at Avis and everything worked out great. Everyone on the island loves Tiare and you will too. The house was cleaned beautifully for us and our blood pressures went from 140/100 to 30/10 (kidding about the 30/10). We fed and petted wild stingrays, sitting in the water just 10 feet from our beautiful shore. We canoed and snorkeled everywhere, everyday. The villa has it's own canoe's for you. We had a "marriage renewal of vows" service on the shoreline at sunset. It was great. We went scuba diving with TopDive swimming with sharks but enjoyed coming home to our villa. Ok, there were a few chickens in everyone's yards but they added to the ambiance of being in Moorea. There are cattle that cross the road in front of you while you're driving too. Oh, there are millions of potholes in the only 2 lane road around the island. Just get use to it. Chase the chickens away and they'll be gone for a couple of days. Make sure to rent a car at Avis. It's expensive but you have to do it to see the island. The Milky Way is so clear at nights. It's unbelievable. It's ok to drink the water. Get lots of XPF (Francs) before you arrive at the villa. The taxi's and vans at the Tahiti airport only work for cash. 3500 XPF's from the airport to the ferry for the use of a van. Almost all of the food stores on the island deal with cash only. Remember, most stores are closed between 12:00-2:00pm. The 3 banks are about 30-40 minutes away from the villa and the banks are practically next door to each other. Ok, you're on vacation so the food at the restaurants is higher. But, load up at the Champion market, close to the Ferry dock where the beef is cheaper. The local restaurants don't look like much from the outside but their food is great. The Mayflower was very snooty to us. I'm boycotting "The Mayflower" and telling all of my friends. We will definitely return to this wonderful place. Enjoy your stay. Thank you Tiare for a wonderful vacation. Michael Olesiuk
