Couldn't ask for anything more!

I wish I could give this home more than 5 stars! It was just perfect. The owner, Joe, is amazing. He was very accommodating. The photos don't do this home justice. Upon arrival, we were floored with how immaculate, welcoming and inviting it was. The process was very easy, check-in/out was a breeze. All of our needs were met, I traveled with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday and everyone had such a great time. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed to make dinner and a very large breakfast (including Kuerig coffee makers and waffle irons). There was a living space and also a den so we all didn't have to watch the same thing at the same time. That was a plus! We enjoyed the foosball table everyday. There were board games in the closet, xbox, books and toys for children. I will definitely be back with my little one! Thermostats in every room were a plus! The bathrooms seemed brand new and cleaned very well. Beds, were comfy. More than enough seating for our group of 7. There was also a book left by the owner with notes, checkout tips, wifi passwords, menus and things in the area. There is a brand new Dollar General about 3 minutes away which we visited a few times for odds and ends, there is a small market about the same distance which was also helpful. We visited Mount Airy Casino which is about 35-45 minutes away one night and we took a trip to Bushkill Falls to do a nature hike on our way back home. We are already planning our next vacation here. I just want to thank Joe for everything! He was very easy to get in touch with at any time via text throughout the whole process. He made my birthday one to remember in this very special home.

Wonderful stay in the Poconos

5 of 5
Christine, We wanted to thank you for the use of your Pocono home. The house was wonderful – very spacious and with every amenity you could think of. Even the dogs made themselves right at home. The weather was not very cooperative so we spent more time indoors than we planned. With a teen and a pre-teen along, that could have been a bit challenging, but the number of board games and movies you had available took care of that concern. Even with the excellent wireless, the kids really enjoyed playing board games and actually left the i-pads and i-phones take a break at times. We had planned on doing a lot of fishing and bicycling, but the rain kept us from those activities. We did really enjoy the deer which came very close to the deck. I think the deer enjoyed it as well (at least they enjoyed the bread, popcorn and apples). We did do some interesting things – the kids are big on ghost hunter shows so we went to the Old Jail Museum in Jim Thorpe. Not an expert on that sort of thing but the girls mentioned ‘orbs’ and whatever they are, some orbs appeared in some of their old cell block photos. They also had a good time horseback riding at Deer Path Stables. Now our niece’s mother is hearing how bad her daughter needs a horse! You had an excellent list of restaurants, but we mostly cooked our own meals. The one exception was Murphy’s Loft which had some very good sandwiches. Our granddaughter loves French onion soup and theirs was some of the best we had. One day we road tripped to the Old Country Junction store which is really a must see. They have everything you can think of. Later that evening we continued on to Becky’s Drive-In in Walnutport which has to be the nicest drive in we have ever been to. Even a passing thunderstorm didn’t cause much concern. Finally, since it was too cold to do the waterpark at camelback, we took the girls to Dorney Park on Saturday when the weather was a little better.
