Beautiful house, amazing Fourth of July weekend!

5 of 5
My friends and I stayed here over Fourth of July weekend. We had a group of 11 and there was plenty of space on the top floor for everyone to hang out/have meals together, and another large common room on the middle floor for people who wanted to work or watch TV without disturbing the others. The house was beautiful and the rooms were all very clean. Loved the jacuzzi tub, and also really appreciated that the owner let us use their rowboat and canoe at the nearby lake. All in all, the house was exactly as advertised and everyone had a blast. Owner was friendly and we had no issues getting our full security deposit back on time. We would all definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay in the Poconos

5 of 5
Christine, We wanted to thank you for the use of your Pocono home. The house was wonderful – very spacious and with every amenity you could think of. Even the dogs made themselves right at home. The weather was not very cooperative so we spent more time indoors than we planned. With a teen and a pre-teen along, that could have been a bit challenging, but the number of board games and movies you had available took care of that concern. Even with the excellent wireless, the kids really enjoyed playing board games and actually left the i-pads and i-phones take a break at times. We had planned on doing a lot of fishing and bicycling, but the rain kept us from those activities. We did really enjoy the deer which came very close to the deck. I think the deer enjoyed it as well (at least they enjoyed the bread, popcorn and apples). We did do some interesting things – the kids are big on ghost hunter shows so we went to the Old Jail Museum in Jim Thorpe. Not an expert on that sort of thing but the girls mentioned ‘orbs’ and whatever they are, some orbs appeared in some of their old cell block photos. They also had a good time horseback riding at Deer Path Stables. Now our niece’s mother is hearing how bad her daughter needs a horse! You had an excellent list of restaurants, but we mostly cooked our own meals. The one exception was Murphy’s Loft which had some very good sandwiches. Our granddaughter loves French onion soup and theirs was some of the best we had. One day we road tripped to the Old Country Junction store which is really a must see. They have everything you can think of. Later that evening we continued on to Becky’s Drive-In in Walnutport which has to be the nicest drive in we have ever been to. Even a passing thunderstorm didn’t cause much concern. Finally, since it was too cold to do the waterpark at camelback, we took the girls to Dorney Park on Saturday when the weather was a little better.

Great place!!!!!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful time in the Chalet. It was perfect for the kids (ages 5, 7, and 8) play in the loft while the adults enjoy the fireplace downstairs. Thank you so much for a clean and cozy place to stay for the Christmas Holiday!!
