My girlfriends and I (11 of us) met at the farmhouse to consolidate into a van and head to the local wineries in the area. We had a beautiful picnic lunch at the house before heading out, and the wineries were just a few miles away. We also went apple picking which was right across from one of the wineries. We then came back to the house to eat dinner outside at the picnic table, sit out by the fire and drink some of our wine purchases. Only half of the girls who came tasting ended up staying for the night, but the homeowner John spoke with me earlier about please having the other girls stay if they do drink too much to drive. His concern was very sweet and although they did not end up staying, I appreciated him opening the home to additional guests sleeping on couches and such to ensure their safety. The house is just perfect for a weekend getaway in the country. The crickets and stars at night are amazing, and there are also sheep, goats, and chickens to feed. There is also a walking trail around the perimeter of the property that is secluded from neighbors and the road by a huge perimeter of gorgeous pine trees. We had a great time, and Will & John could not have been more welcoming and helpful. This would be a wonderful location for anyone of all ages- children would love the outdoors and the animals, and adults would love the beautiful home, flowers, and the serenity of this location. Also, a fully stocked kitchen did not leave me wanting a thing! I was able to cook quite a bit in the oven and on the stove without needing to purchase any spices or utensils! Thank you John and Thank you Will for a wonderful weekend! We will definitely be back.
