Miles Away From Ordinary

5 of 5
This place you have to see to believe! Stayed here for a weekend with some old college friends. We couldn't have asked for a better place, everyone had a fantastic time. We had no reason to leave the property as it provided us with all the entertainment that we could ask for. So much open space that we spent all day out in the sun playing yard games. The pool table, ping pong table, and bar in the barn were just too much fun. Not to mention the fact that the entire property is equipped with Wi-Fi and Sonos inside and out so that the music never has to stop. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. Thinking about it now, my only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. You simply can't go wrong with this property. Hopefully we will return in the future!

Wow!

5 of 5
Liz and Ken were fabulous hosts. We arrived at the cottage after dark on Friday and Liz asked that we give her a call to make sure we found the cottage alright. We instantly felt right at home. There was a welcome note and the makings for s'mores on the table. The bedrooms/beds/pillows were VERY comfortable. The cottage was decorated just like a home should be - I loved all the framed illustrations from books. My younger kids loved the loft area and starting playing with all the toys. Liz's binders of attractions and "how-to's" for the house were wonderful - there was not one single question left unanswered. We did a few day trips - to Gettysburg, Philadelphia, New York, Lititz, and Hershey. On our days off, we enjoyed playing all of the games, reading books, making dinner, and toasting s'mores by the fire. I am afraid I've been spoiled by Liz and Ken - will any other vacation ever measure up again :-)

Rustic and Cozy

4 of 5
My husband and I recently enjoyed 4th of July weekend at this rustic, cozy cottage. It is a log cabin with all that charm yet has a modern, functional flair. Our first night was very warm but with ceiling fans and windows open we had a very comfortable sleep. The sound of the rushing stream right outside the windows affords a quieting effect.  On the second day, Hurricane Arthur blew through and cooled everything off enough to use the wood burning fireplace. When the rain stopped we were also able to wander through the town of Milford, which has many shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to cook/BBQ our own meals, share our vacation with our two dogs, and sit and relax outside and inside. We definitely would like to come back and try a snowy winter stay.
