Perfect location

5 of 5
Had a wonderful stay in this very clean and comfortable condo. The building is very secure and quiet. The owners are quick to respond to all questions. Great restaurants nearby. Di Bruno within walking distance. Andy was wonderful in helping me figure out the TV & remotes. So close to the convention center that I could take a break between sessions. I look forward to returning.

Great Price for a weekend getaway!

5 of 5
This was a wonderful little condo for a weekend retreat and you can't beat the price! The owner was accommodating and allowed us to check in early and check out late. We were going to bring our little dog but didn't since the weather called for rain, but there were a few other guests walking their dogs. The place was clean and well-kept, and nicely stocked for our weekend. It was very convenient to be able to use the wine and coffee provided, as well as the pots and pans! It was very easy to find and gain entry to the condo. The roku was great for downloading movies and shows! We explored the area a little and were only disappointed when we got hungry and realized the on-resort restaurants were all closed. Coming in the spring, one should make sure they have plans other than what the resort offers. We did enjoy the hot tub and indoor pool, sunsets and sunrises at the top of the mountain. Nothing beats an Easter Morning sunrise on the second highest mountain peak in PA! We spent our days exploring Blue Knob State Park and the local area. We drove up the Lost Children's Monument Road and enjoyed watching the fish in the stream. There are great fishing streams and state game lands for hunting/fishing enthusiasts. We will definitely be back to take advantage of these. We hiked the state game lands and saw some wildlife. There were even signs of bear, but luckily we didn't walk upon any! We ate at the Sassy Sisters Restaurant in Portage, PA and grocery shopped at Stagers Store in Portage. Sassy Sisters doesn't look like much from the outside, but is gorgeous on the inside! It also had delicious food and home-made pierogies! We also ate at Morris' Tavern in Sidman, PA which has an outdoorsy style of décor (there are many stuffed animals showcased). I grew up coming to this area every weekend to camp so it was a great place to stay for a walk down memory lane. We will definitely return to this resort and specifically this condo! We have started discussing upcoming plans and who to invite since there were two bedrooms! I have already recommended this for other family members who would love to revisit the area! The only complaint from this Pittsburgh couple is that there was Hunt's Ketchup in the fridge and not Heinz!

Beautiful Condo in the Perfect Location

5 of 5
This condo, situated in the perfect location in Hidden Valley, is wonderful. First, Beth was a joy to communicate with throughout the rental process. She was helpful and friendly and quickly answered my questions and emails. The condo is very clean and comfortable. It comes with everything you'll need for your stay. We went for a quick snowboarding getaway from DC and we could not have been happier with our stay. The location is prime if you're hitting the slopes - you literally just walk across the road and you're on the trails. We even met some of the neighbors during our stay and everyone was so friendly and nice. It's also an easy drive to local restaurants and bars. We ate at Out of the Fire Cafe and it was amazing! It was as good, if not better, than any place we've ever eaten in DC. We hope to stay here again very soon, it was the perfect place for our getaway and had everything we needed.
