Clean, spacious and beautiful

5 of 5
We were considering staying at a hotel and I'm very glad we chose to go to Sturbridge Place. Instead of being cooped up in a hotel room we had a spacious apartment. The rooms were nice sized and airy. The living room was comfortable, full of sunlight, and gave us plenty of space. I was hesitant about going to a privately owned home because I wanted something very clean. The apartment exceeded my expectations. It was extremely clean and well maintained. They were also OK with me bringing along a pack 'n play for my baby (so we were 2 adults and 3 kids). I noticed a previous review that said the second room was stuffy. There is now a fan in the room that we used and it was fine. There were some coloring books and puzzles that my kids enjoyed. The place is nicely stocked with coffee, popcorn, and some snacks. Our hosts were sweet and wonderful people. Nancy picked some homegrown veggies and sent us home with them. I'd definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to my friends too.

GREAT STAY

5 of 5
I had to go to Philadelphia for a work conference at the Sofitel in Rittenhouse Square. Since I was brining my two daughters and my parents were flying in to babysit, I really wanted to find an apartment nearby. This apartment was great. It was only five blocks away from the hotel. The layout was great with enough space for us all to be comfortable. We were especially thankful for a comfortable place when my daughter got sick and my parents ended up having to stay inside for a few days. The kitchen has all the appliances and pans you need, but is not stocked with cooking staples (oil, vinegar, etc.) However with a Trader Joes and CVS just a couple blocks away it was easy to stock up. The building was nice and the people at the front desk were extremely friendly. The laundry is downstairs but you have to buy a card and then charge it to use it. If you are staying for a longer period it isn't a problem. The Rittenhouse Square neighborhood is great with tons of shops and restaurants nearby. It was centrally located for all the touristy things as well. The double decker buses pass through the neighborhood and there is a bus that stops in front of the building that takes you to the Ferry for the aquarium. Ben was flexible in how we made arrangements, which made it easier since we were arriving on an international flight.

Everything was great!

5 of 5
The apartment proved to be great accommodations for us and our English Springer Spaniel. My husband, a train enthusiast, loved watching the trains and speaking with train personnel. It was so convenient for our attending a convention in Wilkes Barre! The owner was extremely helpful in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable! We highly recommend it!
