This cabin was fantastic if you are looking to get off the beating path and into a picturesque nature setting. We check into the cabin on July 17 and planned a 4 day long weekend. We had 4 couples wit 4 kids that joined us and the house accommodated all of us perfectly. We were blown away by how nice the cabin was on the inside and outside. The deck on the back of the house was great. Each morning we were able to sit out back and relax with our morning coffee while listening to sounds of the river below. Very peaceful. There is great biking trail about 100 yards from the house. The path to get down to it is very clear and a very easy walk. I took a nice long walk every morning on the path and saw some deer as well. All of the bedrooms were more tan spacious for our group. We were able to put the kids to bed in the bedrooms upstairs so that we could take advantage of the downstairs game room and pool table without waking any of them up. There is a washer and dryer in the downstairs that we ended up using once. It was nice to go on a trip like this and then come home with all clean clothes! The front yard is a bit tight but we parked our cars right up close to the house and set up some games in the driveway. It worked out just fine.
We used the outdoor grill all three days we were there. We brought our own charcoal and it couldn't have been easier. I absolutely loved the fire pit. We had that going two out of the three nights and it was great to sit around it as a group with all of our friends.
We made a few runs to the store in White Haven which was about 10 minutes away. They have everything that you need there. We also took advantage of the nearby Hickory Run State Park. Its probably a 20 minute drive but man were the grounds awesome. They have a swimming area with a nice beach. All of the restrooms and locker rooms, and concession buildings were brand new. They also had Frisbee golf!
Overall everyone had a wonderful time and we would definitely come back to this house again. Its the true definition of what a home in the Poconos is supposed to be like.
