Excellent, beautiful, fun!

5 of 5
Our family of 40+ (ages 5-81) had a wonderful time at Lake Wanoka. We rented all 13 cabins and filled each sleeping space, even added a few sleeping bags comfortably on the floors. The cabins were perfectly clean and well maintained; they were spacious enough for what we needed. Nicki in the front office was always ready to answer all of our questions and provide any information we needed. She is a huge asset to this resort and was a terrific resource for us. Mike, the groundskeeper, went above and beyond his duties to ensure our comfort, safety and satisfaction. Every night of our 3 night stay, we gathered around the campfire to share family stories and favorite songs. One morning we hiked down to the Lake and walked around the grounds. Another day some of us we went rafting/tubing at a location about 20 miles away. But most of the time, we just enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the special family time. The younger kids spent a lot of time playing in the splash pad and the arcade. We had a delicious meal at KC Peppers and they graciously accommodated our large party. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation and we created many fond memories in a beautiful setting. We will be back again next year!

Relaxing and quiet

4 of 5
My husband 3 kids and dog so enjoyed our stay here. The home was clean and the sheets were clean. That's a big concern of mine when renting. The beds were comfortable and the homeowner was wonderful. She was very accommodating. This is the type of house to kick back and relax. The pictures don't do it justice. We enjoyed the fire pit and lake. I hope to come back and stay for a week.

Great times.

Fantastic chateau with all the comforts of home. Very clean and well organized. A little buggy inside but were mostly moths, to be expected though being in the middle of a forest. Tons of wildlife such as deer, bears, flying squirrels, foxes and so much more. Hot tub was excellent and got used a lot. Lots of room to move around inside and out. Bring your own charcoal and a saw to cut your own fire wood for the fire pit. 9 hour drive to get there but was well worth it.
