Rustic and Cozy

4 of 5
My husband and I recently enjoyed 4th of July weekend at this rustic, cozy cottage. It is a log cabin with all that charm yet has a modern, functional flair. Our first night was very warm but with ceiling fans and windows open we had a very comfortable sleep. The sound of the rushing stream right outside the windows affords a quieting effect.  On the second day, Hurricane Arthur blew through and cooled everything off enough to use the wood burning fireplace. When the rain stopped we were also able to wander through the town of Milford, which has many shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to cook/BBQ our own meals, share our vacation with our two dogs, and sit and relax outside and inside. We definitely would like to come back and try a snowy winter stay.

Highly Recommend this Home

5 of 5
This home is actually nicer and bigger inside than it looks in the pictures. Very well stocked and Very accommodating and informative owners. Unbelievable view from the porch and the kitchen. Relaxing sunroom and hammock outside. Easy to get to the home. And there are no "community" fees which is definitely a plus. Easy fishing too. Not too many "keeper" fish but a lot of bites. Definitely have a fishing license though because the game board comes around to check and apparently there is a $200 fee if you don't have a fishing license. We had a great time!!! Would go back to this home in a heart beat.

A very lovely and clean home with a rustic feel!

5 of 5
This home offered everything we were looking for during a long weekend with friends! The place was very well kept and clean. It has a great rustic feel for a wooded stay, but offered all the amenities of my own home. The bedrooms were very spacious, with comfortable beds. The kitchen offered enough space for cooking larger meals, and the dining room table sat 8 people comfortably. The kitchen appliances all worked well and the grill was an added bonus for cooking a few outdoor meals! The multiple decks offered great views of Lake Wallenpaupack, and the dock was a nice place to hang out right on the water. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning next year!
