Our family just returned from a wonderful week spent at Mitch's Hideout retreat. This was our second time here and we were reminded of how wonderful this home and location is. The home is located in a small alcove of the lake and this house is planted right in the center with the largest deck by the water of all of the other homes. The views are the best and the fishing even better (best fishing spot in the whole lake per the neighbor). I alone caught 30 fish (yes, I was keeping track because I never caught so many in my life). Even our 7 year old grandaughter caught one just by dragging her artificial bait around the dock. With three generations, each family unit was able to have their own bedroom and bathroom which made this so comfortable for all. We enjoyed the views from all three large decks and took advantage of the large BBQ pits and cooked whole butterflied chickens (this was a first for us). We all agreed that was the best chicken we ever had (can't forget the smores that were made around the fire pit either). My husband and I enjoyed the quiet early mornings before the grandkids awoke on the top deck looking over the glass-like appearance of the lake. It was so calm and still and the reflections of the trees and lakeside homes were spectactular. It was like living in a Norman Rockwell painting. The hot tub was a nice bonus for those evenings when it became cool, especially after the grandkids went to bed. The level backyard was ideal for the grandkids who love to run and play. Claws and Paws (a local zoo) is practically around the corner from the Hideout and a must see. The grandkids were totally amazed as well as us adults. Mitch was so accommodating and easy to work with. This is a must for anyone looking for the perfect Pocono getaway. Thank you Mitch for everything. We will definitely be back!!!!
