The Best!

4 of 5
We stayed the weekend after Labor Day. A simple 'get away from it all' is what we were looking for. Fist of all, the place is big, beautiful and absolutely CLEAN. Comfortable, not dumpy, furniture is found throughout the duplex unit. The kitchen has all the plates, glasses, tableware, pots & pans that one would need, and it all goes in the dishwasher later. The basic gas grill along with a small table & 2 chairs on the porch is all we needed to create some fabulous meals. Even the showers were great, enough pressure to blow your hair away. If one is looking for quiet spacious comfort in order decompress, this is the place. Now the negative: The cable TV is lame, but I guess that is a function of the service available up there. Sometime the wifi drops out also (face it, even on vacation we remain connected). There is a small deli near by, but they don't sell beer. What? We are definitely looking to return soon. The best!

Relaxing Stay

4 of 5
The owners are so friendly and helpful. The house is very spacious and comfortable because each bedroom is like a master with its own bath. Great spot for family getaways and groups. When we weren't skiing on the mountain ( located very close) we spent most if out time in front of the cozy wood burning fire and cooking in the well stocked kitchen. The lake view from the large windows and deck is so peaceful. We were sad to leave.

Thumbs up for "The View"

5 of 5
The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the place comes with ALL the amenities you could possibly want. It is on the top floor, so not recommended for persons with disabilities. Else that, it's truly fantastic: - a great view of the lake - very clean - a quiet location (we were there in the fall/off-season) - great rates - good nearby restaurants (reservations are good, even in the fall!) - great owners We did have to drive a ways to rent a boat. The nearby paintball is NOT for the amateur. The stores and shops do close early, and getting beer/wine/liquor proves tricky (separate stores, couldn't actually find liquor - PA people would be used to that, though, I'm sure).
