Perfect getaway

5 of 5
I have to say the property was very cozy and clean. I Loved the wrap around deck. Every morning we sat outside on the deck watching nature and enjoying our coffee. It was spectacular. We enjoyed outlet shopping not too far away and walks around the lake. I would definitely come back not only did I enjoy this stay but my kids did as well. The owner, although out of town, was very attentive. He made sure we had someone to contact in case we needed anything. And he also took the time to give us a call and make sure everything was to our liking. They even were kind enough to have a welcoming Package of pancakes and eggs for us to make for breakfast. I have nothing to complain about it was a fantastic getaway. Thank you for making this mini vacation a memorable one for us. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended. PS sorry for taking so long to submit this review. :)

Great Getaway!

5 of 5
What a great getaway we had in the Poconos. The cabin was very nice...cozy but roomy, nicely decorated, and the bed we slept on was VERY comfortable. It was in a woodsy environment, yet close enough to do sight-seeing, shopping, and the fall colors were great when we were there. It was wet outside for part of the 3-day weekend, so we didn't get to use the outdoor grill or campfire; but we did use the gas fireplace in the wonderful "great room" on one evening. The owners were VERY accommodating and even had breakfast items for us to use on the counter and in the fridge! Thanks John & Millie for a great weekend!

Beautiful and quiet getaway

4 of 5
My husband and I were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and wanted to relax and enjoy some quiet time. The location was extremely quiet and spacious, even though it was relatively close to other houses. I am used to the noise and crowds of Brooklyn, NY so this was perfect. The house was clean and fairly modern. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, etc. so we only needed to bring food. There were a few food items in the fridge and the cabinets but we didn't use them as we already brought our own. The front of the house had beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the driveway. I would have appreciated more/thicker curtains as the living room curtains were sheer and you could see right into the house, and the window beside the front door had no curtain/shade at all. It's not like anyone was wandering around looking into the windows from outside, but being a New Yorker I'm not used to that kind of "openness." The beds were not that comfortable, and my husband is a very large man so he felt like he was going to break the bed if he moved around too much. The bathroom was small but had a deep Jacuzzi tub (the bubble bath I took was nice but I couldn't figure out how to use the Jacuzzi part but it wasn't that important). There is a huge flat-screen tv in the living room and a smaller one in one of the bedrooms. There was a wood-burning fireplace in the living room and a charcoal grille outside, but we didn't use them. The house was not too far away from the lake, which was beautiful. It was only about a 45 minute drive to Camelback Mountain, where we did some sightseeing and hiking. There wasn't too much that we wanted to do around the area, but we didn't come for the activities. We just wanted to enjoy the mountain air, the view and being able to see actual stars at night. There were not too many places to eat, and the reviews on them weren't that great, but we had breakfast at Jubilee's on 940 and Perkins - also on 940. The food was average, but we mostly just ate the food we brought with us. Overall, it was just what we were looking for and we got the relaxation and quiet time we wanted. The owner was great about keeping in contact through email and answered any questions I had.
