Wonderful Home for a Family Getaway!!!!

5 of 5
I do not know where to begin with all the amazing things I have to say about this house and the owner. Twelve on my family members went to this home (a.k.a. Ingleside) for a family weekend getaway (two nights / three days). First off, the entire planning process with the owner, Thomas, was as easy as it comes. The contract was forthcoming with no concern of any hidden details. Thomas responded to all my emails immediately to answer any questions my family had and was beyond accommodating to any requests. You could tell how genuinely kind he was through his emails. I felt like he was part of our family. This house is absolutely beautiful!!! As soon as you walk in the front door you feel as though you are home. The pictures on the website do not do this home any justice. The house is immaculate, warm and cozy and is beautiful decorated. This house has so much history and charm that you cannot help but to fall in love with it. The bedrooms were beautiful and roomy and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were immaculate. You would think for a house that is over 100 years old that it would be freezing, but completely the opposite. The house was always so warm and cozy. Thomas assures that kitchen is fully stocked with all the accommodations of home (i.e. coffee pot, toaster, cups, plates, silverware…). Thomas even provided us with linens and towels and plenty of firewood for the huge fireplace. The extra room (loft) above the garage is amazing. First off, you have the bridge that connects the loft to the house which makes it so easy to go from one to the other. You do not have to worry about trudging through the yard. It is a great extra space to hang out and play games. The loft is just an extension of this beautiful home. Thomas is the nicest person on the planet. Some of my family arrived before I did, so unfortunately I did not get to meet him, but they could not stop talking about how nice he was. He even provided us with some shopping suggestions since we all loved how Ingleside was decorated. He was quick to respond to text messages and emails and told us not to worry about anything. He really made renting his home a pleasant experience. Not one member of my family has any suggestions on how to make this experience any better. Everything was truly perfect. Our family has now started a yearly Ingleside tradition. I really hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon this gem.

Excellent weekend getaway

5 of 5
With the goal of having a restful weekend in the mountains, we rented Constance's home. It was amazing! Our children and dog loved the little lake that was a short walk from the house and Sunday morning my wife and boys went out on the paddleboat for a leisurely trip around the lake. The home was ideal for our family with space for the boys (who loved the Disney room), a grill, and fireplace. We had s'mores after a nice hike around Lake Tobyhanna. Contance made the whole process very easy. She communicates very well and is incredibly organized (even emailing us updated directions to the house complete with pictures!). The house itself was bright, clean, and came with an information book for the area and the house. It was a pleasure to spend the weekend at their home and we look forward to returning in the future.

Third trip here and better than ever!

5 of 5
This place never seizes to amaze my family and I. We have some of our best memories here! Visiting Dominic's for the best pizza in town or going to the Pocono Brewing Co. for some dinner, drinks, and serious games of pingpong. This remote getaway is a must for anyone on a budget looking to get away from it all. Fishing, hiking, biking, SAUNA IN THE BACK YARD, and the list goes on. This place is roomy, clean, and always a treat.
