As pictured with no surprises

The property and all of the views on line of this rental are as exactly as depicted. Extremely comfortable with the two separate bedrooms and shared bathroom. The kitchen is fully loaded and the living room area extremely comfortable. All of the rooms were very clean! Loved the walking distance to the local pub/restaurant " Sharp Edge" with great food and beverages. I highly recommend this rental and will be coming back in the near future. Drive to downtown Pitt was very easy route to follow.

Vintage and retro luxury! Memories to be had!

5 of 5
As a general rule with birthdays and holidays, my husband and I avoid buying physical presents for our nieces and nephews, but rather, "make memories" by doing something together - whether a one-day, overnight or just evening event. When we found the "Good Ole Days" get-a-away, we knew it would be a great Christmas present for all of us...and boy, did we score big! The kids - ranging in ages from 8-17, were so delighted with this place and Melanie's special touches that when we went into Pittsburgh to see the city at Christmas time, we left early because everyone wanted to just come "home" and enjoy the place together. What did we do during the stay? Lived. John made my mom's "blue plate special" traditional meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans and had family dinner...we peculated coffee and made cocoa and told stories, rumpused in the rumpus room, listened to records...and had a great blend of Christmas and Festivas time - oh, and always love Gabriels which is just down the road. My husband and I have traveled extensively, and we received some of the best hospitality from Melanie AND comfortable accommodations. We love that Melanie not only has honored her family in this way but has also given others a chance to feel a part of the memories - both hers and their own. We will be back...!

Wonderful place

5 of 5
We loved our stay here...The garden area is lovely for morning coffee, although it turned cold our last few days. Heard they had a really tough winter. The house is in a gorgeous area with interesting history and cool little shops & lots of things to see: art gallery, aviary, housing for artists who have been persecuted and driven out by their governments. The bus stops 3 blocks away so you can also go outside the area easily. Owners are friendly and helpful with little hints of things to see and do. Our niece & her husband live in Pittsburgh and we would gladly stay here again when we return.
