Great Value

5 of 5
Traveled with 5 of my closest friennds (all middle age+ women) for an escape from the City. We loved our accomodations. I was in charge of selecting the rental and could not have been happier with the choice, The condo was well-stocked (now has a hair dryer and a blender.) Beds were comfy and the view as we sat on the deck was magnificent! As the evenings were chilly outside, we made a fire in the fire place, sat on the wonderful leather sofa and watched the full moon rise! Owner was very responsive and helpful. Condo was very clean.

Our biggest and best family reunion ever!

5 of 5
We had very high expectations based on the VRBO advertisement, but they were EXCEEDED by the accommodations, amenities, readily-available local activities, and the extra effort the owners put into assuring our vacation was excellent. Hiking, biking, canoeing, going to the lake beach, playing pool, using the hot tub, and making s'mores at the firepit were daily events. Every need was anticipated - to include even having an electric air pump for the bicycle tires. We represented 3 generations, and all of us had a great time. The recreational area on the first floor had a big-screen TV with video games and DVDs which enabled us to have two or more age-based activities going on simultaneously in the evenings after dinner, and the bedrooms were located far enough away from the later-night activities so that our three young grandsons didn't wake up. We had a wide variety of nutritional preferences, so it really helped to have two full-sized refrigerators. Even though we maxed out the allowable guest capacity, we never felt cramped. I mean it when I say that staying at the Stonewood Lodge was what made this family reunion so memorable!

Fantastic home for faily vacation !!!!!

5 of 5
The listing was spot on in terms of the accommodations for our large family. The girls really loved being in the lower level room that accommodated the five girls under age 10. Although most of our time was spent on the patio, the rain days drove the young ones into watch videos on the big screen in large family room. Although I overlooked that only linens were provided , I did discuss with Matt in plenty of time to bring own. The kitchen had everything we needed to feed our hungry brood, including kitchen towels and cloths. The property was properly clean and was in the process of completing additional improvements .Matt and Marty couldn't have been more helpful and prompt delivering whatever we needed, wood, sweeper, etc. our friends and family that visited this week couldn't believe we had found such a great place when my family is on the West Coast and down South. Definitely everyone would recommend this house. It was nostalgic to once again golf Seven Springs and Hidden Valley. Reminded me of the plush, green courses we golfed when visiting our son in Seattle. Out of the Fire Restaurant was excellent !!!! Take you own wine, beer, etc. they provide frosted glasses for small corking fee. Disappointed that children under 10 couldn't do zip line but the slide in the pool made up for that. Fun go carts, animal farm as well. Easy access to Pgh via turnpike and Parkway also provided rainy day activities for the children.
