Our first visit to the States was for my son's wedding to a lovely girl from Lancaster. We had a few enjoyable days in New York. We arrived late, but Debbie was still there with a wonderful welcome. We were all weary, sore footed and in need of sleep. We soon fell asleep in the amazing comfortable beds.
This place is a little oasis in a wonderful town. In the morning we enjoyed their excellent range of coffee in a beautiful garden and watched the squirrels. It took 5minutes to get our car park pass for a week.
We had such an amazing week exploring the wonderful countryside and meeting our new American family.
On our last night we invited them all around to Symphony house and they all loved the charm and character.
It takes 5 minutes walk to be in the centre of Lancaster. The market is brilliant. The Amish farms produce the most delicious fruits and vegetables. Try their freshly squeezed blueberry juice.
I have to say the extensive library at Symphony house is incredible, some of the books I have read but the rest I want to.
When we left we booked a night the newly weds for their honeymoon.
As an English visitor I found this place unique and full of character.
Can't wait to be back.
